Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli from “Off Campus” Dismiss Feud Rumors with Laughter

Off Campus stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli responded perfectly to the unfounded rumors of a feud between them.

“Belmont and I are together on set every day,” Bright, 19, shared with E! News during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27. “We’re in the green room, and he’s scrolling on his phone. He’s like, ‘Ha! Remember when we did that?’ and I said, ‘That never happened.’”

She added, “It’s hilarious. So, we’re just laughing about it. That’s the only thing we can do.”

Rumors of a feud surfaced after fans noticed that Bright and Cameli, 28, had archived photos of each other on Instagram. However, Bright clarified the situation on Sunday and explained why the photos were gone.

“I mean, heaven forbid I wanted a visually pleasing Instagram,” Bright joked at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. “My apologies! I’m really sorry!”

Cameli also had a lighthearted response when he initially heard about the speculation regarding a feud between him and Bright.

“When I first heard those rumors — I mean, I laugh every time I hear them,” Cameli told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday. “It’s really amusing and sometimes surprising to see the conclusions people draw. … I’m glad to put those rumors to rest. Ella and I are very close.”

For Bright, she feels that she, Cameli, and their costars share a unique bond.

“So much love,” she shared with E! News on Sunday. “They are my family.”

Bright and Cameli portray love interests Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, respectively, in the popular Prime Video series Off Campus, which is based on the works of author Elle Kennedy. While they took the spotlight in season 1, Bright and Cameli are now handing over the lead roles to Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn, who play Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis, for the upcoming second season.

Just days before the awards show, Off Campus completed filming season 2, which Bright hinted has been “so much fun” to shoot with her castmates.

“There are some fantastic ensemble moments this year,” Bright mentioned to E! News on Sunday about the upcoming season. “Everyone’s truly incredible, and it’s so enjoyable to step back into characters that we know so well now, compared to season 1, which still felt a bit new and intimidating.”

“It feels very familiar, and it’s been a blast,” she continued. “I’m really going to miss them. The wrap party really made me sad.”
