Ginny and Georgia Star Playfully Teases Major Character Deaths in Season 4
Ginny & Georgia‘s Diesel La Torraca gave fans a surprise with a humorous remark regarding several significant character deaths in season 4.
After La Torraca, 15, shared a TikTok recently, intrigued viewers flocked to the comments section for some insider information.
“Plspls give me some spoilers,” one comment read, to which La Torraca humorously replied, “Everyone dies.”
As La Torraca, who portrays Austin, was asked how old his character would appear when the Netflix series finally made its return, social media users expressed concerns about whether he would have aged too much to continue playing Ginny’s half-brother. They highlighted the lengths the show has gone to mask the young actor’s growth spurt.
Creator Sarah Lampert previously addressed why the show didn’t focus on maintaining accuracy regarding Austin’s age.
“Anyone involved with the show will tell you that I’m very meticulous about the details. I pay attention to many aspects. Yet when it comes to Diesel growing five years older, I’m like, ‘Whatever.’ There’s no way to control that,” she told Us exclusively in June 2025. “We can’t recast. Diesel is Austin.”
Lampert made it clear that they had no intentions of bringing in a younger actor for the role of Austin.
“We have a few jokes planned about it. We acknowledge that he’s growing, and that helps us,” she said, also noting that viewers would need to “suspend their disbelief” because La Torraca “grew [up] and it’s a TV show.”
“A significant time leap would hinder emotional storytelling. Because of this, the flashbacks may already have timelines that don’t align,” she added. “Time is merely a construct in Wellsbury.”

La Torraca, on his part, discussed the concerns surrounding his growth while revealing the creative approaches the show has taken to mask it.
“Well, to be honest, we sort of just overlook it!” he told Teen Vogue that same month. “It’s like… there’s a 14-year-old at the table with Harry Potter glasses who’s supposed to be 9. And that works! In certain shots, I had to bend my knees a little to appear shorter than [Antonia], or they brought her an apple box a few times, but for the most part, we’ve just maintained the show as it is.”
La Torraca continued: “Playing a 9-year-old for six years while I’m growing up… I’ve grown alongside him, but I’ve also diverged because I was 8 when we started, and now I’m 14. There are notable differences in how he would move, act, and speak. I have to raise my voice slightly, slouch a bit to embody a shy, insecure 9-year-old.”
