Tribute to Chad Lowe’s Daughter Fiona from Her Dance Teacher
The dance instructor of Chad Lowe’s daughter Fiona, who tragically died by suicide at the age of 13 earlier this week, has expressed a touching tribute to the young girl.
On Friday, October 2, Kendra Andrews shared a video on her Instagram, showcasing Fiona practicing her dance routines in a studio while a woman, presumably Andrews, encouraged and praised her.
“This first video was recorded just a month after you lost your home in the fire. You entered the studio as you always did during the years I’ve known you… filled with excitement, wearing that radiant smile, and giving me a warm hug,” Andrews reminisced.
She added, “The following video captures our second rehearsal a few weeks later. It was evident that you dedicated so much time outside the studio to refine and perfect your moves. Your passion and determination were truly inspiring to witness. I chose not to film your performance on stage a couple of days later because I wanted to fully immerse myself in the moment. I watched from the wings, my heart swelling with pride and my eyes brimming with tears of joy.”
As she wrapped up her heartfelt message, Andrews expressed her sorrow over Fiona’s passing, saying she feels utterly “shattered” by the loss.
“FiFi, my love for you is beyond words. It was a privilege to teach you, share laughter, and witness your growth,” she wrote. “Our hearts are broken. We will never be the same without you. I will miss you and cherish you forever ♥️ Chad, Kim, Mabel, and Nixie…I love you and keep you in my thoughts constantly.”
News about Fiona’s passing first emerged on Tuesday, September 29. “We are heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” Chad, 58, and his wife Kim Painter, 52, stated in a joint statement.
The couple, who also have daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, described Fiona as “a loving young girl who was intelligent, artistic, and passionate about dance.”
“She was cherished by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. Indeed, she was the light of our lives. The Los Angeles medical examiner confirmed on Thursday, October 1, that Fiona was pronounced dead at 1:14 a.m. local time on Tuesday. Her death has been ruled a suicide, according to the coroner’s office.
Chad, the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, and Painter married in 2010. Chad was previously married to Hilary Swank from 1997 to 2007.
