Marcus Jordan Mentions Father Michael Jordan in DUI Body Cam Footage

Marcus Jordan did not shy away from mentioning his famous father, Michael Jordan, during his recent DUI arrest.

“I’m Marcus Jordan, I’m Michael Jordan’s son. I’m not doing anything wrong,” Marcus, 34, told an officer according to body cam footage obtained by Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 4. “I’m just trying to get home and I made a wrong turn, and clearly, we would just like to get our f—ing car off the f—ing train tracks.”

Marcus is the second oldest child of Michael, 61, and his first wife, Juanita Vanoy, who also have a son, Jeffrey, 36, and a daughter, Jasmine, 32. Previously, Marcus played college basketball at the University of Central Florida and was known for his on-again, off-again romance with ex Larsa Pippen, who is the former spouse of NBA star and Marcus’ father’s rival, Scottie Pippen.

In the arrest footage, Marcus and a young woman, whose identity remains unknown, were confronted by authorities while his blue Lamborghini SUV was trapped on the train tracks. When questioned on how he ended up there, Marcus explained that he had made a wrong turn.

“We thought we were making a right, and I f—ing turned onto the train tracks apparently,” he stated.

Marcus and his passenger exited the vehicle after officers requested it due to an approaching train. As Marcus walked down the tracks, he appeared to stumble and asked authorities whether they could assist in moving the car out of danger.

The officers ultimately refused, expressing concern for everyone’s safety and noting that the vehicle had sunk into the gravel.

“My concern is us,” the officer told Marcus, to which he replied, “The concern is the $300,000 vehicle. I would like to just push this s— out of the way.”

An officer insisted that a tow truck be called for the vehicle, but Marcus continued to insist on pushing it himself.

“We don’t need a tow truck. Can I get some manpower to push this s— all off this train track?” he urged, but the police refused again.

After leaving the train tracks with officers, Marcus was queried about whether he had been drinking. While one officer mentioned smelling alcohol on Marcus, the former basketball player denied being intoxicated.

“I appreciate your concerns, but I am not inebriated. I am not in any state that prevents me from driving home,” he asserted. “The thing is, I am not familiar with this area; I made a right expecting to turn onto the highway but ended up on the f—ing train tracks.”

Marcus then underwent a field sobriety test and was asked about his alcohol consumption. He responded, “a little bit, under the legal limit,” which stands at “.08.” When asked how many drinks that amounted to, Marcus replied, “F— if I know man… I’m not a scientist.”

He also stated that he had not consumed any “illegal substances.” However, the police discovered a baggie in Marcus’ pocket, with one officer speculating it was “probably cocaine because that explains the agitation.”

Marcus was arrested in Maitland, Florida on Monday, February 3, on charges of driving under the influence, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest, according to TMZ. He was booked at an Orange County, Florida, jail.

According to a police report obtained by Us, Marcus acknowledged drinking “some” alcoholic beverages earlier that evening at several locations, including Rachel’s Gentleman’s Club, which advertises itself as a “steakhouse and strip club” on its website.

Marcus “refused” to enter the police vehicle, as per the report, becoming “agitated and irritated” while questioning why he was “being treated like a criminal as if he were doing something wrong.”
