Cat Deeley’s Radiant Beauty Picks on This Morning: I Got the Inside Scoop from Her Makeup Artist!
From the moment Cat Deeley appeared on our screens in the 90s, I’ve had an ongoing fascination with her beauty style. Whether it was her striped blonde hair back in the day (yes, it was a trend) or her sophisticated glam today, she consistently impresses me and rarely misses the mark. She mentions that she’s “comfortable in her own skin” these days, and it truly reflects in her appearance.
The 48-year-old television personality always looks fabulous, be it with a sun-kissed tan or a striking red lip. I decided to connect with her regular This Morning makeup artist Lindsay Bown to learn more about the specific products she uses on her iconic client for the beloved ITV show. Having collaborated throughout much of Cat’s television journey, Lindsay is undoubtedly the best person to share insights on Cat’s makeup routine.

Hi Lindsay, you’ve been collaborating with Cat for ages! How did your paths cross and how long has it been?
I first met Cat at MTV when she embarked on her presenting journey, so we’ve known each other for about 25 years. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on and off ever since.

What do you love most about working with Cat?
Cat is an incredibly kind, humorous, and generous individual with a bright personality. It’s always a joy to collaborate with her.
She prefers a more natural look for the show, and I aim to enhance her inherent beauty, ensuring her makeup appears fresh and luminous.

With Cat’s fantastic skin, I only need to accentuate that. She prefers a lighter application, so my approach is to keep her skin looking dewy and authentic. I typically use cream and liquid formulations for the eyes, bronzer, and blush as they blend seamlessly into the skin.

Cat truly takes care of her skin and adheres to a consistent regimen. She swears by Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Jurlique facial oils.
What skincare products do you love using on Cat? Is there a must-have product?
I’m a big fan of the Victoria Beckham Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturiser and also Ilia The Face Base for lighter hydration. Both work excellently as makeup bases.
Cat applies Charlotte Tilbury Immediate Eye Revival Patches in the car on her way to the studio to refresh and de-puff her eyes, and we always start the day with e11even Fragrance Oil gently warmed between our hands and pressed onto her neck and pulse points for an uplifting yet soothing experience.
How about foundation? What foundation and techniques do you prefer for Cat?
I prefer not to mask Cat’s lovely skin, so I keep the base minimal, opting for tinted moisturizers. My current favorites are Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Enhancing Tint, Delilah Wake Up Radiant Skin Tint, Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint, and Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint.
I apply and buff these products in using a EDY London 07 buffing brush or My KitCo 0.18 Stippling Foundation Brush.
Cat always radiates a beautiful glow, what products do you use to achieve this?
I like to use a light layer of Hourglass No28 Priming Serum, with the current star highlighter being Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick in Nectar. It provides a stunning shine without the glittery finish that some highlighters impart.
Any top tricks for achieving a flawless makeup artist finish with the base? Do you favor setting sprays or powders?
I limit my powder use, only applying a light layer on the T-zone. I prefer the Delilah Pure Touch Micro Fine Loose Translucent Powder and By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder, which both offer a fine and lightweight solution. For on-set touch-ups, I love using Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.
Let’s talk about mascara! What do you use on Cat?
I like to switch between different mascaras. Right now, my favorites include Victoria Beckham Vast Lash, Beauty Pie Wrap Star, Lisa Eldridge Kitten Lash, and Estée Lauder Turbo Lash.
With her naturally stunning lashes, we simply enhance them with mascara and some natural lashes, such as Eylure Wispy Clusters.
Do you have a secret weapon in your makeup kit that you always carry?
I always keep my Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler handy. They are fantastic for really opening up the eyes.
Can Cat pull off any lipstick shade? What are your favorite choices?
Cat is versatile enough to wear any lip shade but usually leans towards lip oils, glosses, and tinted balms during This Morning.

If Cat were preparing for a date night, what beauty tips would she take from you?
She tends to wear minimal makeup when not on camera, so she’d likely emphasize glowing skin. She might start off with Self Glow by James Read Sun Bright tan drops for that added healthy radiance.
