“Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” Contestants Who Departed Before the Final Rose Ceremony
The concept of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette has remained consistent since the ABC dating series launched in 2002, yet not all contestants have adhered to the guidelines.
In fact, the ABC franchise has witnessed a number of participants cutting their pursuit of love short before reaching the final rose ceremony, including four women during Colton Underwood’s season 23.
Underwood’s ultimate choice in 2019, Cassie Randolph, even attempted to withdraw before he admitted she was The One.
Years earlier, Andi Dorfman chose to conclude her Bachelor journey during the season 18 fantasy suites. When Juan Pablo Galavis tried to comfort Andi by saying “it’s OK” — which was his catchphrase that season — she rejected him before leaving.
“It shouldn’t just be OK. It’s not OK. When you say it’s OK, it bothers me,” Andi, who later became the season 10 Bachelorette, expressed at the time. “I want to die if I have to hear ‘It’s OK’ again. I can’t handle it!”
