Robert Pattinson Claims to Be an ‘Expert’ at Changing His Daughter’s Diapers
Robert Pattinson may don the cape of Batman, but he possesses another remarkable talent.
The Mickey 17 star, 38, disclosed that he has become quite skilled at diaper changes after the arrival of his first child—a daughter—with actress and musician Suki Waterhouse in March 2024.
“I’m a pro at this, like the ninja diaper change when the little one doesn’t even realize the change has happened,” Pattinson shared with Extra during the London red carpet premiere of Mickey 17 on Thursday, February 13.
Pattinson also expressed how their daughter is allowing them to enjoy full nights of sleep.
“I don’t usually brag, but my daughter has been the best sleeper since she was born,” he mentioned.
Pattinson and Waterhouse, 33, have been together since 2018 and have chosen to keep details about their daughter private since her birth last year.
Pattinson expressed his admiration for their little girl at the Dior Homme Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 Show in Paris in June 2024, saying, “She’s adorable. It’s surprising how quickly you can start to see their personality. Even at 3 months, I can already get a glimpse of who she is.”
In a January interview with Vogue, the actor also shared an unexpected aspect of parenting.
“I recall people saying, ‘Don’t you love the smell of babies?’ and thinking they just meant baby powder,” he commented. “But once I had my baby, I realized, ‘Wow, my baby smells amazing.’ I can actually recognize her scent; she smells unique compared to other babies.”
Waterhouse has praised Pattinson’s parenting abilities as well. “He’s absolutely fantastic!” she exclaimed at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2024.
Waterhouse also mentioned to Today in September that Pattinson enjoys changing their daughter’s diapers. “He thinks it’s entertaining,” she remarked. “The surprises and everything.”
The singer has previously spoken about the joy in her relationship with Pattinson. “I’m astonished at how happy I am with someone after nearly five years,” she shared with The Sunday Times in 2023. “Seeing his name pop up on my phone always excites me, and I believe he feels the same. We have endless conversation and I find him incredibly funny.”
