Fran Drescher Raves About Sabrina Carpenter’s Outfits Inspired by The Nanny
Like Us, Fran Drescher was excited to see Sabrina Carpenter don outfits inspired by her 90s sitcom, The Nanny.
Drescher, 67, discussed the singer’s homage to her character, Fran Fine, during a December 2024 interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and again while mingling with Netflix at the 2025 SAG Awards on Sunday, February 23.
When questioned about Carpenter, 25, showcasing a Susan by Night for Lilie Robin mini dress with leopard print lapels, Drescher exclaimed, “Of course I’m aware of it!” She added, “I feel very honored and flattered,” expressing her admiration for Carpenter. “I think it’s fantastic for the brand. It reflects her personality, and I think she’s incredibly cool.” Drescher emphasized: “She’s very nostalgic in many ways, and the fact that she’s embraced The Nanny and its style is commendable. I feel truly flattered.”
Carpenter styled her Fran-inspired outfit with Calzedonia sheer black tights, a Thom Browne case bag, and platform black heels.
Drescher, on her part, wore the same outfit during the first season of The Nanny, pairing it with a voluminous half-up hairstyle and a striking red lip.
