Alexe Godin from The Bachelor Explains the Meaning Behind Her Tattoos
The Bachelor‘s Alexe Godin shared insights about her tattoos.
Alexe captured the attention of Bachelor Nation while participating in Grant Ellis’s season 29 and took to TikTok on Sunday, February 23, to recount the tales behind her body art.
“I felt incredibly anxious about joining The Bachelor as no contestant with full-sleeve tattoos had ever appeared before,” she confessed, referencing her desire to emulate Miley Cyrus. “I feared facing judgment, but then I thought, ‘Why should I care? This is who I am.’”
She continued, “I wish I could claim they all have profound meanings, but truthfully, they were mostly spontaneous, on-a-whim choices.”
Alexe Godin’s limited appearance in the recent episode of The Bachelor wasn’t just due to editing. “To everyone asking why I missed the date: I suffered a concussion, so I went to sleep early,” revealed Alexe, 27, via her Instagram Story on Monday, February 18, accompanied by a selfie of her reality TV experience.
Alexe kicked things off by discussing an underboob tattoo she got at 19. She explained it was inscribed in Greek because she thought she had Greek ancestry, although it turns out she is only one-sixteenth Greek. “I had no accurate translations from a Greek speaker, so I relied on Google Translate,” she recounted.
“It was intended to convey something sentimental like, ‘Live by the sun, love by the moon,’” but unfortunately, it actually translates to, “Live on the sun, love for the moon.”
As for her arm, Alexe has a butterfly tattoo on her shoulder, symbolizing her “growth and transformation into a better person.” She also showcased an eye tattoo, which she later replaced with a large mermaid to better fit her personal style. “It was the first moment I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, what did I just etch onto my arm?! That’s permanent now. I have to fully commit to a sleeve.’”
On another part of her arm, she has the word “Honey” and a depiction of a woman surrounded by flowers, both symbolizing “growth.” Additionally, a bumble bee, which is one of her favorite creatures, finds its place in her collection, although she intended for it to be smaller.
Alexe also exhibited a bull skull tattoo, which she thought appeared “cool” on her bicep.
While getting the bull tattoo, Alexe felt her arm needed more, prompting the artist to suggest adding another piece during the same session.

Additionally, Alexe boasts a matching cloud tattoo on her forearm, placed next to a snake, which she lovingly declared as her “favorite” tattoo.
