Paige DeSorbo reigns supreme in the footwear world.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, DeSorbo, 32, shared insights about her collaboration with DSW during her collection launch in New York City on March 4. Among her favorite styles from the line— which includes bows on pumps, sandals, vibrant heels, and sneakers— she particularly adores the kitten heel, praising it as “ideal.”
“They’re genuinely fantastic for— I don’t want to specify my age group— but there are times I just can’t handle really high heels anymore, and that’s quite disheartening,” she laughed during her chat with Us. When it comes to pairing the petite heel, the Summer House star suggests styling them with leggings, capris, or any outfit that highlights the shoes.
Her collection boasts “all standouts,” so DeSorbo prefers to coordinate the shoes with minimal accessories and a blazer. “I love mixing brown and black,” she said, mentioning her own outfit at the launch which featured a coffee mesh Steve Madden heel paired with black capri pants. “I find it to be really chic,” she added.
Much like Us, DeSorbo is excited that ballet flats have reclaimed their spot in fashion but claims she will “never” don wedges again. “You won’t catch me in a wedge,” she asserted. “I was never really fond of wedges, even when they were trendy, but wore them anyway, and now I’m like, ‘I can’t do it anymore,’ especially cork wedges.” She added, “That look just doesn’t attract me now, and I don’t see that changing in the future.”
Even though her DSW collection is exceptionally budget-friendly (with all items priced under $100), she reminisced with Us about her very first high-end shoe— a Christian Louboutin So Kate heel gifted to her by her mother, frequently worn by Zendaya. “It was the most uncomfortable footwear I’ve ever experienced,” she joked. “I’ve maybe worn them four times because they are incredibly painful. They literally incapacitate me.”

When she’s not slipping on her kitten heels, DeSorbo opts for laid-back styles such as sneakers. “I travel often, so I need a comfortable pair,” she shared with Us. “What many may not realize is that when I don’t have to dress up, I’m usually in my pajamas.”
During her conversation with Us, DeSorbo candidly discussed Kyle Cooke’s “rage text” from season 9 episode 3 of Summer House, in which he expressed frustration about her now ex Craig Conoway partnering with Spritz Sobriety, a rival of his Lover Boy hard teas.
“Kyle and I have a sibling-like bond since we’ve been friends for nearly a decade,” she remarked, downplaying the situation. “We can be brutally honest with each other, but I know I can always come over and hang out with the dogs at your place later.”
