Ariana Grande Transforms in Short Film: Check Out Her Stunning New Look!
Ariana Grande takes transformations seriously.
At 31, Grande had a blast (albeit temporarily) embodying an older version of herself for her short film “Brighter Days Ahead,” which premiered on YouTube on Friday, March 28. In the film, she portrayed an aged version of her character Peaches from “We Can’t Be Friends Wait for Your Love,” revisiting memories that had been erased in the original music video.
Her striking transformation featured wrinkled prosthetics that transformed her face and neck. To fully immerse in her role, Grande styled her hair gray, parting it to the side and adorning it with pearly clips. Additionally, she accessorized with hearing aids and glasses resting around her neck while being wheeled around.
Throughout the film, Grande introduced new tracks from her deluxe album Eternal Sunshine, which was also released on Friday. Prior to debuting the short film, Grande teased her grandma persona on Instagram. In true Grande fashion, she still showcased her signature hand tattoos and long nails. She completed her look with a cozy brown knit cardigan and matching top.
She shared the post with just a heart emoji. Nevertheless, fans flocked to the comments, reacting in shock to her remarkable transformation.
“Granny is that u?” one fan remarked, while another added, “Granny peaches 🥹.” A third exclaimed, “The wise proud Granny we all aspire to be adopted by 😭.”
Directed by Christian Breslauer and Grande herself, the short film’s official synopsis reveals that it follows Peaches 70 years after her first appointment with Brighter Days Inc., where she revisits “a curated selection of moments from her life — both cherished and painful,” as noted by YouTube. “We observe her confront and heal certain personal and professional wounds that shaped who she is today … However, there’s a twist: once a memory is revisited, it is erased forever.”
Fans can catch the film on YouTube.
