Jason Tartick and Teddy’s Heartwarming Reunion Post-Dog Training
Jason Tartick has reunited with his dog Teddy.
The Bachelorette alum, 36, announced the delightful update on Instagram on Friday, June 6. Tartick had enrolled Teddy in a dog training program, which the reality star deemed essential for his pet’s “happiness and safety.”
“Finally back together!! Teddy is returned and thriving!” Tartick wrote in the post, showcasing a series of heartwarming photos of him and Teddy. “Considering his history of abuse and neglect, managing his reactivity was crucial for his overall well-being.”
He added, “Post-training, his calmness around people, other dogs, and even moving objects like cars and bikes is just remarkable. This pup has a mix of 16 breeds in his DNA, from Great Pyrenees to German Shepherd, Anatolian Shepherd, and Chow Chow, which played a vital role in his training journey.”
“I’ve been fully committed to his training since day one of adoption, and this commitment will continue indefinitely. I can confidently say that Teddy has been rescued in more ways than one, and in turn, he has rescued me as well,” Tartick concluded.
Tartick adopted the dog in March following a custody dispute with his ex, Kaitlyn Bristowe. “Not sure who rescued who, but we found each other,” he shared on social media on March 5. “Big thanks to @wagsandwalksnashville.”
Tartick also reached out to his followers for help in naming the dog. “My new best bud needs a name! I have some favorites, but I’d love to hear your suggestions before making a decision,” he posted on Instagram that same day. “Ironically, the day I volunteered at the rescue was also the day they picked him up from the local shelter. It was an instant connection.”
Tartick and Bristowe previously co-owned two dogs, Ramen and Pinot, and initially intended to share custody of them after their split. That arrangement changed in September 2024.
“If you listen to my podcast or follow me at all, you know how much Ramen and Pinot mean to me. They truly are the light of my life,” Bristowe, 39, mentioned on her “Off the Vine” podcast at that time. “It breaks my heart to leave them [when I travel]. They have an amazing dog sitter who comes to my house, so they can stay put.”
She continued, “I realized that sharing custody with the dogs made them very anxious and uncomfortable not knowing where they were going or when they’d return. This isn’t personal and happens whether they’re in one house or my house.”
