Ginny and Georgia Season 4: Key Updates Following the Pregnancy Twist
It’s fortunate that Ginny & Georgia has already received a renewal for season 4, as the pregnancy twist — coupled with the paternity mystery — is just beginning to unfold.
The popular Netflix series, which debuted in 2021, centers on a young single mother named Georgia (Brianne Howey) who relocates her family to Wellsbury, Massachusetts, while escaping her dark past. When season 3 concluded, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her brother, Austin (Diesel La Torraca), devised a plan to keep Georgia out of prison by framing Gil (Aaron Ashmore).
The Millers didn’t have much time to enjoy their new routine — by the end of the episode, Ginny discovered Georgia was expecting. The catch? It remained uncertain whether her estranged husband, Paul (Scott Porter), or her love interest, Joe (Raymond Ablack), was the father.
“In my heart, Joe is the father,” Ablack revealed exclusively to Us Weekly in June 2025. “But I’m not certain. I’m as eager for episode 1 of season 4 as everyone else is to uncover that truth.”
Porter, on the other hand, found it hard to pick a side. “With our writers and all the curveballs they’re known for — not just for the audience but us actors — who knows what twists await?” he shared with Us. “So I really have no clue.”
Meanwhile, Marcus (Felix Mallard) hit rock bottom and sought rehab. His twin, Max (Sara Waisglass), battled her own mental health issues while Ginny’s relationship with her brother Austin evolved.

How Many Seasons Was ‘Ginny and Georgia’ Renewed For?
Netflix has previously renewed Ginny & Georgia for both seasons 3 and 4. The forthcoming season is expected to feature 10 episodes, picking up right after the season 3 finale’s events.
Who Is Returning?
Returning cast members include Howey, Gentry, Mallard, Waisglass, La Torraca, Porter, and Ablack, as well as Jennifer Robertson, Katie Douglas, Chelsea Clark, Nathan Mitchell, and Katelyn Wells.
Aaron Ashmore, Vinessa Antoine, and Noah Lamanna round out the cast. (The finale also teased the introduction of Georgia’s parents.)
Has the Father of Georgia’s Baby Been Chosen?
“When we started in the season 4 writers’ room, I knew without a doubt who the baby’s father was,” creator Sarah Lampert exclusively told Us in June 2025. “I entered the writers’ room and said, ‘Here’s whose baby it is. Change my mind.’ Our writers’ room is amazing and it’s truly a dynamic and ever-evolving process.”
It remains uncertain if perspectives shifted during the process. “That’s what makes the show engaging; it truly comes to life at every stage. But certainly in the writers’ room, it wasn’t finalized,” Lampert shared. “They’ve changed my mind before, let’s just say.”
She concluded: “Oh, we were utterly divided. We kept going back and forth. It was a full-blown debate. It was fantastic because each side has its pros and cons — but there’s a definitive answer, and I won’t share it.”

Will Paul and Georgia’s Issues Be Addressed?
“This is a case of fool me once, fool me twice for Paul. He’s going to think deeply about everything Georgia says from now on,” Porter mentioned to Us about how Georgia’s deceptions complicate matters. “It’s truly heartbreaking. He’s always asked her to be honest—now he can’t trust a single word she utters. That’s just heartbreaking to me.”
Porter added: “I hope they can reach a stage where they can at least communicate positively again, but I’m uncertain if that’s possible.”
Where Is Austin’s Story Going?
“Their dynamic evolves significantly. I believe that [Ginny and Austin] will have to unite,” La Torraca mentioned to Us. “They’ll navigate their emotions regarding Georgia’s trial and everything that follows. Their relationship concludes in a notably significant manner that we’ll see in season 4.”
How Will Season 4 Expand on Abby’s Story?
During an interview with Us, Douglas discussed Abby’s eating disorder, noting, “We see Abby showing more vulnerability than before, and her friends are beginning to notice. Now that she’s confronted it, she’s not alone in dealing with this consuming secret.”
Douglas further mentioned, “I would love to see Abby find the help she deserves, learn to understand and accept herself better, and shed the self-deprecating thoughts.”
Abby also embarks on a new romantic journey.
“Abby is flourishing in this newfound love — her situation with Tris — due to her vulnerability for the first time in ages. Tris brings out the best in Abby,” she added. “This relationship is refreshingly positive compared to her past toxic experiences.”
Where Does MANG Go From Here?
Douglas hinted at the evolution of the core friendship among the characters, stating, “Our show wonderfully showcases women supporting women, which we enjoy capturing the most. This storyline emphasizes the need for women to uplift one another. Through that journey, we will depict what occurs when we don’t.”
Clark remained optimistic about what lies ahead.
“I’m a strong proponent of healthy disagreements. It’s essential to express feelings, get mad, and reach resolutions with friends,” she mentioned to Us. “That’s a lesson I’ve learned. Getting them to that point was crucial because their friendship can only be rebuilt from that.”
She added: “If they were just to pretend everything is fine and bottle up their feelings, MANG would fall apart and cease to exist. But their commitment to each other is showcased in their willingness to confront these issues together.”
How Will Rehab Help Marcus?
Lampert confirmed that they always intended to direct Marcus toward help. “Rehab was always the goal. What’s intriguing about this season is that he enters rehab believing he doesn’t need it,” she told Us. “Therefore, it won’t automatically be the solution unless he recognizes the need for help.”
Could Georgia Kill More People?
“The stakes would have to be extremely high because Georgia realizes that any further violence would irreparably damage her relationship with her daughter,” Lampert stated. “For this to occur, significant chaos would need to unfold, wouldn’t it?”
She concluded: “For me, season 4 focuses on the characters’ emotional journeys. The primary narrative is always the relationship between Ginny and Georgia. It continues to evolve.”
