Monique Samuels’ Mysterious Post Fuels RHOP Season 10 Speculation
Monique Samuels is staying vague about a potential return to The Real Housewives of Potomac.
A report from People on Saturday, June 7, suggests that the reality star is set to return for season 10. Filming has already kicked off in Maryland, with stars like Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Keiarna Stewart, and Stacey Rusch spotted on location.
“Monique’s in a completely different phase of her life now, and fans will get to see that,” a source divulged to the outlet. “She’s eager to reveal her true self—not just as a wife or a mom, but as a woman embarking on a new journey and embracing life on her own terms.”
While Monique hasn’t officially confirmed the news, she did post a video on Instagram featuring Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” on Saturday—coinciding with the surge of speculation regarding her return.
Us Weekly has reached out to Monique’s representatives for their comments.
Monique made her debut on the show during the second season in 2017 but left after a tumultuous season five finale featuring a physical confrontation with castmate Candiace Dillard Bassett. The conflict included an attempt by Monique to grab Candiace’s hair during a wine tasting, followed by a return to continue the altercation.
Both Monique and Candiace pursued legal action against each other, but the charges were dropped in December 2019.
In 2022, Monique and her then-husband Chris Samuels appeared in the reality series Love & Marriage: DC. She shared her motivations for launching the show exclusively with Us Weekly.
“Because it’s genuine. It truly reflects what I believe I was meant for—love and marriage,” Monique stressed. “That was my motivation for entering reality TV. The platform I was previously on didn’t align with that vision.”
The founder of Mila Eve Essentials expressed that the Bravo series was “toxic,” declaring that she has no regrets about stepping away. “My peace is more valuable to me than any show, paycheck, or person,” she told Us. “Going forward, I will only pursue things that maintain my peace.”
Monique also referred to her conflict with Candiace, stating, “It was a learning experience. I now fully understand who I am,” she told Us. “I recognize my triggers, thanks to therapy, counseling, and embracing a more spiritual path that has helped me discover my true self.”
