1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton has found new love with a woman named Andrea Dalton after the passing of her husband, Caleb Willingham, in July 2023.
The TLC personality disclosed her relationship during the April 2025 premiere of 1000-Lb. Sisters season 7. Fans were later introduced to Andrea and learned about their romance, including how they met and their first date.

During 1000-Lb. Sisters season 7, Andrea shared that she and Tammy connected through a dating app.
“I had just signed up. I wasn’t on there very long when I noticed her and she noticed me, and we started chatting,” she explained. “And since then, it’s been every day.”
Andrea and Tammy’s First Date at a Bowling Alley
Fans also got a sneak peek of Andrea and Tammy’s first date on 1000-Lb. Sisters, which took place at a bowling alley where Andrea showcased her competitive nature.
“I have to win. I need to beat you,” she told Tammy, who replied, “Bring it on.”
Tammy confessed that she found Andrea “beautiful” and liked “everything about her.”
“We have been getting very close,” she stated. “I do have feelings for Andrea. However, we’re currently just taking it slow, day by day.”
Tammy Kept Her Relationship With Andrea Secret From Family
Tammy revealed that she initially chose not to inform her family about Andrea, keeping the relationship under wraps for a few months.
“I want to approach this relationship differently than I have in the past, so I didn’t tell my family because I know they’re going to have their opinions,” she shared on the show, expressing uncertainty about how her loved ones would “react” to the news of her dating a woman.
Eventually, Tammy confided in her older sisters Misty Wentworth and Amanda Halterman, who were completely supportive.
“It doesn’t bother me,” Misty said when Tammy acknowledged that her family didn’t typically “prefer people” who are “gay.”
Meanwhile, Amanda expressed in a confessional, “I don’t understand why Tammy believes we would have an issue with her dating a female. I have a son who is gay. I don’t mind as long as she is treated well. So for her to assume, ‘I know you probably disagree with me dating a woman,’ I was genuinely surprised.”
Amanda ultimately reassured Tammy, “If she makes you happy… that’s all we wish for each other, to be happy. That’s all. But I don’t want any of us to stop searching. Don’t just settle until you discover what you’re truly looking for.”
Later, Tammy introduced Andrea to her mother, Darlene, who also remarked that she doesn’t “really care about women being with women and men being with men.”
“If Andrea genuinely cares for Tammy and makes her happy, then I’ll be happy with her,” Darlene added.
Tammy Discussed Her Sexuality in 2024
Tammy openly talked about her sexuality in a January 2024 TikTok video.
“I’m a supporter of everyone,” she stated. “I used to say I was pansexual, but since my husband passed, I’ve stopped seeing men. So, I consider myself a lesbian now. Love is love. Everyone deserves love, whether they’re gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, nonbinary, or whatever. I’m just a lover.”
