Olivia Culpo Welcomes First Child with Christian McCaffrey

For Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey, their family has grown by one.

The 33-year-old model and the 29-year-old San Francisco 49ers running back shared the news of their first child’s arrival.

“Colette Annalise McCaffrey 🤍,” they captioned a joint Instagram photo showcasing the newborn’s hand on Sunday, July 13.

In a follow-up post on her Instagram Stories, Culpo expressed her joy at seeing McCaffrey as a father.

“Colette is incredibly fortunate to have the best daddy in the world,” Culpo shared, posting a picture of McCaffrey gazing at the baby in her hospital isolette. “A love like no other.”

Culpo had a C-section and remarked in another Instagram Story that it was “the most frightening yet rewarding experience of my life.”

“The moment [Christian] walked into the room, I felt completely at peace,” she noted, humorously mentioning how tightly she held onto his arm.

Culpo announced her pregnancy via Instagram in March, captioning black-and-white maternity shoot photos with, “Next chapter, motherhood 🤍.”

In a second post, she shared a video of her and McCaffrey strolling hand in hand through a field, showcasing her baby bump. McCaffrey also displayed sonogram images in another clip from the montage.

The couple met on a blind date in June 2019 but kept their relationship private until publicly debuting it on Valentine’s Day 2020. McCaffrey proposed in April 2023, and they wed in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, in June 2024.

Diving into her and McCaffrey’s romance, Culpo has candidly shared her dreams of starting a family. She revealed during a December 2022 episode of The Culpo Sisters that she had frozen her eggs.

“I have made decisions out of fear of the future,” she explained. “I’ve exerted a lot of pressure on my relationship due to fertility issues.”

She continued: “I am going to freeze my eggs so I can have children when the timing is right for Christian and me. It’s a safety net. It’s an exciting opportunity.”

In an October 2023 TikTok video, Culpo shared that she wanted to “remove” her IUD and “start trying right away” after marrying McCaffrey.

Once Olivia revealed her pregnancy to the public, Sophia Culpo jokingly teased her older sister for trying to hide her baby bump.

“Now you all know why her nickname is Oblivia… she’s not exactly stealth,” Sophia joked on her Instagram Story alongside a January post of Olivia holding her dog over her stomach while posing with McCaffrey.

Sophia further teased Olivia in another Instagram Story, claiming her sister was poorly concealing her bump at her friends Hayley Sullivan and Deven Marrero’s wedding, as it was noticeable beneath her dress in a close-up photo. Sophia quoted Olivia saying, “I’m just bloated,” while Olivia seemed to agree with her sister’s take in a text, responding, “Hahaha so bad.”

Despite the playful banter, Olivia’s sisters have always believed in her capabilities as a parent.

“I’m confident she will be an incredibly loving mother. I know she’ll be well-prepared. She’s probably already organizing her children’s preschool plans. At this moment, she’s likely on the waitlist,” her older sister, Aurora Culpo, shared with People in October 2024.
