A Look at Dennis Rodman’s Romantic History: Madonna, Carmen Electra, and Beyond
Renowned as one of the most formidable rebounders in NBA history, Dennis Rodman found his way into the tabloids just as frequently as he appeared on SportsCenter. A figure often surrounded by controversy, Rodman, now 63, has had very public affairs with celebrities such as Madonna and Carmen Electra.
With each high-profile relationship Ratman has confirmed, there seems to be an equal number of rumored romances.
While he is most famously associated with the Chicago Bulls from 1995 to 1998, Rodman also spent a season with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1999. During this time, he claimed to have dated Jeanie Buss, who presently owns the team. Buss has denied this assertion, claiming her father, then-owner Jerry Buss, had assigned her the role of keeping Rodman out of trouble, emphasizing that their relationship never extended beyond that.
Additionally, Rodman has been linked to Toni Braxton and Vivica Fox, but both women have also stated they did not date the basketball star.

Annie Bakes
Rodman began his relationship with model Annie Bakes in 1987 and the two married in 1992. However, their union lasted just 82 days, bogged down by accusations of abuse and infidelity. They have one daughter, Alexis Rodman, who is now 36 years old.
Madonna
Rodman briefly dated Madonna in 1994 while playing for the San Antonio Spurs. Following their breakup, he openly discussed their relationship, including their intimate life, and he claimed she once offered him $20 million to father her child.
“We never had any issues. It was one of the easiest relationships I’d ever been in,” Rodman recounted in his 1996 memoir, Bad As I Wanna to Be.
He later asserted that he ended the relationship because he refused to be just the pop icon’s “boy-toy.”
Carmen Electra
Rodman and Electra’s romance began in 1998, culminating in a Las Vegas wedding later that same year. Just nine days post-wedding, Rodman sought annulment. Though they reconciled for a time, they ultimately divorced in 1999.
Their relationship was brought back into the limelight with the airing of the 2020 docuseries The Last Dance on ESPN, which depicted the Bulls’ championship season in 1998. During the Finals, Rodman famously left the team to spend 48 hours partying with Electra in Las Vegas.
“One thing about Dennis: he had to escape,” she explained in the series. “He enjoyed going out, hitting up clubs. We’d dine at his favorite restaurant, then hit a nightclub, followed by after-hours spots. It was non-stop.”
When Rodman failed to return to the team, the Bulls dispatched none other than Michael Jordan to Vegas to bring him back.
Michelle Moyer
Rodman met Moyer in 1999, and they married in 2003, sharing two children: son Dennis Rodman Jr., 23, and daughter Trinity Rodman, 22.
The couple opted to maintain separate residences during their marriage, living just two miles apart.
“We won’t live together. I prefer it that way. She and the kids visit on weekends,” Rodman said to the Los Angeles Times in 2003.
Although Moyer filed for divorce in 2004, they reconciled, but their marriage ultimately fell apart in 2012. Post-divorce, Rodman faced court for failing to pay a child and spousal support bill totaling $860,376. Instead of jail time, he completed 104 hours of community service and received three years of informal probation.
Alicia Douvall
In 2004, Rodman was romantically linked to model and reality star Alicia Douvall during his marriage to Moyer. Douvall later claimed that they were even engaged, a statement Rodman refuted.
Known for her numerous cosmetic surgeries, Douvall also had a high-profile relationship with Simon Cowell, boasting about their intimate encounters.
Yella Yella
Since 2022, Rodman has been in a relationship with Yella Yella, first appearing together in a video posted to the singer’s Instagram. In 2023, he got a black-and-white tattoo of her face on his right cheek, stating to TMZ, “I thank her for loving me the way I am, and that’s why I did it for her.”
