Aaron Taylor-Johnson Honors Wife Sam Taylor-Johnson on Her Birthday with Heartfelt Instagram Post

It’s time to send birthday wishes to filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson, and her husband, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, is leading the charge!

The 34-year-old actor shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to his wife on Instagram on Tuesday, March 4, as she celebrated her 58th birthday. In his post, Aaron Taylor-Johnson expressed his love with a happy birthday message and included six photos showcasing the couple’s moments together.

“Happy birthday gorgeous!” he exclaimed. “I cherish every moment spent with you.”

The pair, who tied the knot in 2012, first crossed paths when he auditioned for the role of John Lennon in the 2009 biopic “Nowhere Boy.” In a 2019 interview with The Telegraph, Aaron Taylor-Johnson shared that he recognized she was his “soulmate” the first time they met.

“I knew right away that I wanted to spend my life with her,” he reflected. He proposed one year later.

“I vividly remember it; exactly one year after we met, I popped the question. I envisioned a family with her and wanted children, and a month later she was expecting our first child,” he told The Telegraph.

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Wylda Rae, in July 2010. They had their second daughter, Romy Hero, in January 2012, followed by their wedding in June of that same year. Sam Taylor-Johnson also has two daughters, Angelica Jopling and Jessie Phoenix Jopling, from her previous marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling.

The 23-year age gap between Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson has not posed any challenges, as she has indicated in various interviews.

“We might be seen as an anomaly, but after 14 years, it really shouldn’t matter anymore,” she said in an interview with The Guardian in April 2024.

“If I had let any cynicism creep in, it wouldn’t have worked. If I’d questioned anything, it would never have functioned. I’m very instinctive. I jump in headfirst into every experience, whether it turns out great or not,” she explained.

“It’s definitely a ‘F— it, let’s embrace it’ mindset.”
