Ariana Biermann Reveals That Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s ‘Extremely Lengthy’ Divorce is ‘Far from Over’

Ariana Biermann has shared an update on her parents, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, regarding their prolonged divorce proceedings.

“My mom is doing well. She just moved into a new home and is feeling great,” Ariana, 23, told Us Weekly during Us + Maidenform’s Reality Star Style Awards party on Tuesday, April 22, at The Highlight Room in New York City. She mentioned that she feels “very protective” of her mother.

Ariana is one of the children of Zolciak, 46, and Kroy, 39, alongside her siblings Brielle, 28, KJ, 13, Kash, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, both aged 11. Kroy, who adopted Zolciak’s older daughters from a previous relationship, and Zolciak filed for divorce initially in May 2023. Although they withdrew the petition the following July, Kroy submitted a new motion in August 2023.

“I think it can be tough at times. This has been a really long divorce,” Ariana expressed to Us. “[It’s been] two and a half f***ing years, and it’s still not even close to being over.”

Ariana referred to The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum as her “best friend in the world,” expressing her hopes for her mother to lead a fulfilling life after the separation.

“I truly hope that she continues to flourish,” Ariana shared. “She has been with my stepdad for 13 [or] 14 years now, and I’m just thrilled for her to embrace being a mom. I often remind her, ‘This is your first time in this world too, so I’ll step in as your mom when you need me.’”

According to Ariana, Zolciak is also re-entering the dating scene.

“She’s open to exploring her options, and why shouldn’t she?” the Next Gen NYC star remarked on Tuesday. “She deserves it. I tell her, ‘Let’s not rush into anything serious just yet.’ I also remind her that we’re in a completely different world now, and some people out there are f***ing crazy.”

Ariana recently transitioned from her family’s hometown in Atlanta to a new life in New York City, which will be featured in Bravo’s upcoming series Next Gen NYC.

I believe it’s going to be very exciting to witness all of us grow into our own as adults. When our moms were on Housewives, we were kids,” Ariana commented, referencing her costars Gia Giudice and Riley Burruss, who joined her on the red carpet on Tuesday. “Often, people still perceive me as 12 years old. They’re like, ‘Why are you wearing a bikini?’ I’m like, ‘Girl, I’m 23, alright? I’m actually grown now.’ I anticipate it will be a lot of fun to see our friendships develop and for us to navigate New York together. At least for me, it’s all new.”

While Ariana already knew Gia, 24, and Riley, 22, due to their mothers — Teresa Giudice and Kandi Burruss, respectively — being prominent figures in the Housewives franchise, she has also built new relationships after moving to the Big Apple.

“I absolutely loved [costar Emira D’Spain],” Ariana enthused. “I told her, ‘You’re coming with me.’ She insisted, ‘We’re doing this together.’ She called me saying, ‘You’re moving to New York City. We’re making this happen. You’re going to do this show with me.’ I was thrilled because New York has always been my dream, and I knew we were going to make it work.”
