Blake Lively Seeks Revenge on Anna Kendrick in ‘Another Simple Favor’ Trailer
The initial glimpse of Prime Video’s A Simple Favor sequel has arrived — and Blake Lively’s character Emily Nelson is on a mission for vengeance.
The trailer released on Wednesday, February 26, reveals that Another Simple Favor continues the story with Anna Kendrick’s Stephanie Smothers now promoting a book she authored about the incidents from the first movie, titled The Faceless Blonde. To her astonishment, Emily has somehow escaped from prison and decides to crash her rival’s gathering. “Boo!” she exclaims as she makes her entrance.
It turns out, Emily wants Stephanie to take on the role of maid of honor for her upcoming wedding in Italy. “Why am I here?” Stephanie questions Emily, who responds, “Do you believe I invited you to seek revenge for stealing my life and taking my child? Do you think I want to make you suffer?”
“I don’t know, do you?” Stephanie counters.
However, the opulent wedding weekend proves to be far from a peaceful retreat. The trailer hints at numerous jaw-dropping events, such as Stephanie seemingly uncovering a dead body, an explosion occurring during one of Emily’s wedding festivities, and someone tumbling off a balcony.
“If I do attempt to murder you, it’ll lead to an incredible sequel,” Emily quips at the trailer’s conclusion.
Another Simple Favor is set to premiere on Prime Video on Thursday, May 1.
