Carey Hart and his wife Pink seem to remember a 2002 Saturday Night Live afterparty quite differently.

“When my wife and I started dating, she was on Saturday Night Live, and we went to the afterparty,” Hart, 49, shared exclusively as part of his 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me feature in the latest issue of Us Weekly, available on newsstands now. “I encountered Drew Barrymore, who was my childhood crush, and we struck up a conversation. My wife insists that I was flirting with her, but I don’t recall it at all! Not long after that, my wife and I made cameos in Charlie’s Angels.

Pink, 45, made her debut on the sketch show on January 12, 2002, when Josh Hartnett hosted for the first time, and she performed “Get The Party Started” and “Don’t Let Me Get Me.” Hart and Pink had met the previous summer at the X Games and quickly began dating afterward.

One year after the SNL episode — and the couple’s encounter with Barrymore, 49 — Pink and Hart featured in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle alongside the actress.

Carey Hart shared his best-kept secret about his nearly two-decade-long marriage to Pink. “After 19 years, I’m still being called an idiot,” Hart, 49, humorously told Us Weekly while discussing his involvement in Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. “I can’t wait until I reach 35 years and I’m no longer an idiot.” Setting jokes aside, […]

While racing is his primary occupation, Hart reappears on screen this month in season 3 of FOX’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, which starts airing on Wednesday, January 8, at 8 p.m. ET.

“The hardest part was certainly the mental challenge,” Hart described to Us regarding the show’s replica of authentic U.S. Special Forces training. “Giving up all your freedom and the ability to make decisions, becoming just a number, without knowing when it was safe to shower or change your gear, or when the day would end was tough.”

1. My top artist on my 2024 Spotify Wrapped was Pennywise, a Southern California punk rock band.

2. Apart from my wife, [Pink], Tony Hawk and Jon Bernthal are the most recognizable contacts in my phone.

3. I’m not into New Year’s resolutions, but I want to handle stress more effectively. My life is hectic with balancing family responsibilities and two careers. I’m striving to let go of the minor details!

4. I crafted a customized Indian motorcycle for Pink, and there’s no better way to enjoy our time together than on two wheels.

5. I began riding at the age of four. My family wasn’t really into traditional sports, except baseball. Riding was our family activity in Vegas during the late ’70s and ’80s. It became serious by the time I was 12; it was basically work. I raced around 45 weekends annually across the southern and western U.S. I packed my van and moved to California the day after graduating high school, turning pro just four weeks later.

7. My surprising skill is my head full of useless trivia.

8. I appreciate reading Anthony KiedisScar Tissue and Matthew McConaughey’s Greenlights.

9. One of my most memorable celebrity encounters was back in the early 2000s when Brad Pitt and his son visited my race shop. A good friend was customizing a motorcycle for him, and we all spent time together in the shop with my mechanics.

10. When my wife and I began dating, she was on Saturday Night Live, and we attended an afterparty where I met Drew Barrymore, my childhood crush. We talked for a while, and while my wife thinks I was flirting, I don’t recall that! It was around this time that we made cameo appearances in Charlie’s Angels.

11. My favorite fast-food order includes two deluxe dogs from Wienerschnitzel and two corn dogs.

12. After concluding my racing career in 1998, I enrolled in community college to pursue accounting. However, I was invited to perform the first freestyle motocross demonstration on the Warped Tour, and when FMX took off that summer, I decided to drop out and pursue FMX.

13. The most notable accomplishment of my career has been being a professional motocross rider — and quite an old one at that — as well as a custom motorcycle builder. The fact that I still earn money riding motorcycles 31 years after going pro is truly astonishing.

14. My most prized possession is the original bike I rode when I performed my first backflip in 2000 at the Gravity Games. I used that same bike the following year when I sustained a serious crash going for my second flip at the X Games. After healing, I replaced the broken parts and retired the bike. It sat on the mantle in my living room for several years and is now hanging upside down from the rafters in my shop where I build Indian motorcycles.

15. The movies I could watch endlessly are The Breakfast Club, Rocketman, and Popstar.

17. Face to Face’s song “Disconnected” brings back memories of my travels across the country in my van, pursuing the supercross and motocross series from 1995 to 1998. I spent four to five nights a week sleeping in my van while couch surfing for 30 weeks. I barely had two coins to rub together, but it was an incredible time.

18. I excelled in math in school, but I’m dyslexic and faced challenges in early reading. I still find it tough to read aloud.

19. My first job at 12 years old involved taping and finishing drywall for my father’s unpleasant construction friends. He wanted to instill the idea that I had to earn money either through my motorcycle or my intellect. He operated an asphalt paving company — which is arguably one of the toughest jobs and environments in Vegas. I often joked that I’d rather rob a band than work for him.

20. My ideal getaway is a staycation at home — where no one is aware I’m there — riding my motocross track, shooting skeet, and barbecuing with the family.

21. Over the past 30 years, I’ve kept every early custom-painted helmet and any that held significance for me. I have around 50 displayed in my workshop.

22. The only remaining item on my bucket list is supporting my son in kart racing. Some of my best childhood memories were at the races, and I look forward to creating similar experiences with him, as he’s excited about driving.

23. The app I use most frequently is Pandora. I’m a tech dinosaur, so I enjoy spinning my ‘90s punk rock, Led Zeppelin, and hip-hop BBQ playlists while building bikes.

24. I have a pretty impressive pain tolerance and enjoy pushing my limits through varied workouts, whether biking or trail walking.

25. The childhood memory that brings a smile to my face is going to Lake Mead or Lake Havasu on weekends when I wasn’t racing. I was a river rat and thrived on the water.
