1587 Prime, the upscale steakhouse co-owned by Kelce, 34, and Mahomes, 29, is on the lookout for three positions ahead of the restaurant’s grand opening this summer.
Situated within the Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City, 1587 Prime — named after Mahomes and Kelce’s jersey numbers — is seeking an executive chef, a bar manager, and an operations manager.
The executive chef role mandates at least seven years of experience and offers an annual salary range of $90,000 – $110,000.
As per the job listing, the executive chef must recognize training needs and provide training for all back-of-house team members and positions, maintain consistent quality control of all food prepared, ensure adherence to corporate and restaurant standards, and manage timely service while having the ability to “engage with guests and impress them on the floor.”
The bar manager position is a full-time role that offers a salary between $70,000 – $80,000 annually and necessitates three to five years of experience in a management or supervisory position, ideally in a full-service restaurant.
Under the guidance of the general manager and beverage director, the bar manager will handle all day-to-day beverage operations, encompassing marketing strategies, staff scheduling, training implementation, cost management, and revenue generation.
The operations manager position is a full-time opportunity with a salary range of $55,000 – $90,000 annually.
Reporting to the general manager, the operations manager is responsible for “advancing the company’s vision in the daily operations of the restaurant.”
Additionally, the operations manager will directly supervise a designated team and manage all aspects of hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Applicants are encouraged to have three to five years of management experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
1587 Prime promises “an innovative, immersive, and upscale dining experience” in a spacious 10,000 square-foot area spanning two floors.
The restaurant will feature several private dining rooms, a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, and a meat display, as stated by the restaurant group Noble 33, which is managing operations and hiring.
“[It’s] just another initiative we want to bring to Kansas City, as a way to show our appreciation for the city, recognizing their love for great food and football,” Kelce mentioned to People in April 2024.
1587 Prime is set to open this summer, just ahead of the 2025 NFL season.
