Is Whitney Leavitt from Mormon Wives in Season 5 Before Her Departure?
Fans of Whitney Leavitt can celebrate — the reality TV star is set to feature in the upcoming season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives before her official departure from the show.
“You’ll want to brace yourself for this video. I am stepping away from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Take a moment to absorb that,” Leavitt, 32, stated in an Instagram video shared on Tuesday, May 5. “I felt it was important to start my video that way, as I’ve seen a lot of discussions about my announcement, and I wanted to express my thoughts.”
She continued, “Just to clarify, I am completing season 5. So yes, I will be in that season. But it will also be my last. Reflecting on this journey feels surreal, especially since I was pursuing theater and film long before Secret Lives came into my life.”
Leavitt explained that Mormon Wives “came into my life organically, and I accepted it,” mentioning that the route wasn’t what she “imagined as my path to where I am today.” Despite not having the goal of starring in a reality TV show on her vision board, she assured her fans that she “wouldn’t change a thing.”
“I’ve learned so much about myself through my experiences with this group of women,” she stated. “We’ve navigated numerous challenges together, even beyond what you’ve witnessed. We’ve celebrated significant highs and dealt with considerable lows, and regardless of what occurs with our relationships, that shared experience will always be a part of our lives, and I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Leavitt noted that her times of “stepping away from MomTok” stemmed from a “place of anger and frustration.” This time, though, she emphasized that her departure is “significantly different” because she’s “leaving with gratitude.”
“I feel content,” Leavitt shared. “This chapter of my life is coming to a close, and honestly, I think that’s how it was always meant to unfold. I’m deeply grateful for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. It has brought me to where I am today and provided me with the opportunities you all have witnessed, but I’m ready. I’m excited for the next chapter and can’t wait to share what’s next with you all.”
“Leaving with gratitude ♥️✨,” Leavitt captioned her post. Friends of Leavitt showed their support in the comments section.
“Proud of you, friend.. 🫶🏼,” wrote Mark Ballas, Leavitt’s season 34 Dancing With the Stars partner, while fellow DWTS contestant Elaine Hendrix added, “You can never go wrong with gratitude. You’re a sweetheart and a powerhouse Whitney. You’re doing it! Ilysm.”
Just days earlier, Leavitt made headlines by announcing during her final performance of Chicago on Broadway that she would be “departing” the hit Hulu series.
One month prior, Us Weekly confirmed that Mormon Wives had resumed filming season 5 after halting production due to an alleged domestic incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen. Following an investigation, local authorities decided not to press charges against Paul.
