Janelle from Big Brother Responds to Claims She’s Affiliated with MAGA, Calls Them ‘False’
Big Brother icon Janelle Pierzina responded sharply to a fan who suggested she supported President Donald Trump and the Republican party’s so-called “MAGA” movement.
The exchange started on Monday, August 10, when a Big Brother enthusiast likened current houseguest Haley Thogmartin to Janelle.
“Haley isn’t wrong calling herself Janelle cause if season six of BB aired TODAY y’all would HATE Janelle who is also MAGA…. #BB28,” the user commented via X.
A few hours later, Janelle came across the post and addressed the fan’s assertion.
“Stop labeling everyone MAGA just to create hate. Since you enjoy spreading lies about people, let me clarify a few things,” the four-time player stated via X. “I’m politically independent. Socially very liberal, fiscally conservative, and anti-big-government. Pro-choice. Pro-LGBTQ rights. Pro-individual freedom. Lower taxes, less government waste, controlled immigration, and no foreign wars. I don’t need every one of my beliefs to fit neatly into a political party.”
Janelle also pointed out that, compared to when she first appeared on Big Brother in 2005, most people would be considered conservative in today’s political climate.
“By today’s standards, everyone from BB6 would be labeled MAGA by Twitter,” she continued. “There are several people from BB6 who would have been expelled for using the N-word, but none of them were from my alliance. So essentially, go f*** yourself and stop spreading lies. 🖕”
Janelle made her Big Brother debut in season 6, quickly becoming a fan favorite. She was part of the underdog Sovereign Six alliance alongside Kaysar Ridha, Howie Gordon, Rachel Plencner, James Rhine, and Sarah Hrejsa, who aimed to unite against the remaining house guests.
The realtor showcased her competitive edge by winning multiple challenges to secure her spot in the game. Janelle ultimately finished in third place, following runner-up Ivette Corredero and winner Maggie Ausburn.
In the next season, Janelle returned to compete in the show’s first all-star edition. During Big Brother 7, she set a record for the most individual competition wins in a single season with a total of nine victories. Despite her challenge capability, she finished third again but earned the title of America’s Favorite Player.
Janelle returned to the Big Brother house in season 14 as a coach alongside Mike “Boogie” Malin, Dan Gheesling, and Britney Haynes. A twist in the game later forced the coaches to become players, and she ended up in 12th place.
In 2020, Janelle made her second appearance in the all-stars season with her season 6 friend Kaysar. They were targeted early, and Janelle was evicted in the third week of the competition.
Since then, Janelle has not participated in Big Brother but remains an active viewer, sharing her thoughts on the current season and players through her social media channels.
