JWoww Claps Back at Critics Following Wedding Snubs
Jersey Shore’s Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley is addressing the backlash from individuals who took issue with not being invited to her wedding to Zack Carpinello.
On her Instagram on Thursday, June 25, Farley, 41, stood firm on her choice to exclude certain people from her guest list. In a video, she remarked: “You proved my point.”
“I’m doing this once because it’s so frustrating that while I’m trying to enjoy being a wife to my husband, I’m now caught up in retweets and tabloids about who was invited and who wasn’t, and who commented on it,” she shared.
Farley further explained, “And I’m sitting here thinking, ‘If you were a true friend or family member, none of this would be public right now; you would have come to me.’ But you can’t, because then you wouldn’t be able to play the victim to your own fabricated narrative. The truth is, fewer than 50 people were there, and these individuals would seriously have my back.”
The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star elaborated that the guest list for the surprise wedding was intentionally small. She mentioned that they expected their invited friends to either try to attend or be genuinely happy for them if they couldn’t.
“Not only would they be glad, but they wouldn’t talk negatively if they weren’t invited,” she emphasized.
Farley indicated that those expressing disappointment have no one to blame but themselves, noting that resorting to tabloids and social media “validated” her decision not to invite them in the first place.
“You’re not here to celebrate love, you’re just causing drama. This was the most beautiful moment of my life, marrying the person I love dearly, with my children by my side,” she asserted.
She continued, “You’re here for the f**king drama, and it’s a f**king joke. This is the last time I’ll say it: you reap what you sow. Keep playing victim to your story, and you won’t flourish in life.”
Farley and Carpinello surprised friends and family by getting married in a secret ceremony on Wednesday, June 24.
“After so many years together, celebrating our love surrounded by those who have supported us throughout our journey means everything,” the couple shared in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly. “The day was filled with laughter, tears of joy, and immense gratitude. We’re thrilled for this next chapter of our lives.”
Guests arrived at Madison Modern Social in Old Bridge, New Jersey, expecting a film premiere for Farley’s new movie, Nanny Cam, only to find the venue transformed with deep red decor and elegant floral arrangements reminiscent of a modern-day Beauty and the Beast fairytale.
Old Bridge Mayor Debbie Walker officiated the ceremony, which also included special roles for Farley’s two children. Farley shares daughter Meilani, 11, and son Greyson, 10, with ex-husband Roger Mathews, from whom she separated in 2019.
