Mark Wahlberg’s Daughter Grace Hurt at Equestrian Event
Mark Wahlberg’s daughter sustained an injury while participating in a horseback riding competition over the weekend.
Grace, 15, shared a photo of herself in a sling from a hospital bed on Instagram on Monday, November 3, stating, “No pressure we will be back.” She also included images from various equestrian events.
Wahlberg, 54, expressed his support for Grace’s post with several emojis: “🙏😢🙏.” He later added another comment: “❤️🩹🙏❤️🩹.” Grace’s mother, Rhea Durham, also chimed in with, “No doubt kid.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Wahlberg’s representative for further comments.
While there have been no further updates regarding Grace’s specific injury, Durham’s Instagram indicates that her daughter competed at Desert Horse Park in Thermal, California, earning accolades on three different horses. “Chow- 🥇🏆 champion for 1.30 Cheeto- 🥇🏆 champion for 1.20 Cruise- 🥈 reserve champion 1.10 Congratulations Grace!!!! 🥕🌟💫🔥🌵🏇🏽,” Durham, 47, shared.
The former model—which includes Grace, Ella, 22, Michael, 19, and Brendan, 17 as her children with her husband of 16 years—also posted an inspiring quote: “Sometimes I just look up, smile, and say, ‘I know that was you. Thank you.’”
“Things could always be worse. Remember that one. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼,” she added to the post.
Wahlberg has been vocal about sharing his perspective as an observer at equestrian events, posting photos and videos from Grace’s performances on Instagram.
He has praised her skills in horseback riding, telling People in 2023, “She’s started working out. She’s an equestrian aspiring to jump higher and become a Grand Prix Jumper. She needs to train.”
He added, “She’s doing things that my other kids are starting to realize, ‘Well, we ought to start figuring out what we want to do, just like she has.’”

Wahlberg relocated his family from California to Nevada in 2022 to provide them with “a better life.”
“I wanted to give my kids a better life and the opportunity to pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter in equestrian sports, my son in basketball, or my younger son in golf. It made sense for us,” he explained on The Talk. “We wanted a fresh start for the kids, with more opportunities. I’m optimistic about the future.”
He reportedly purchased a home in Florida last month.
“Everything I do now is for my kids. It’s for their future,” Wahlberg revealed exclusively to Us Weekly at Amazon’s Play Dirty world premiere in September. “I try to balance it all. They even visited me in Australia while I was filming this movie.”
He received support from several family members, including his children, at the red carpet event in New York City.
“I’m trying to balance quality time with them and also pursue my creative projects,” he shared with Us.
