Mormon Wives of Orange County Respond to Jen Affleck Rumors

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County cast is addressing the ongoing rumors that Jen Affleck was set to join the MomTok spinoff.

“I guess I’m curious as well,” McCall Dapron shared during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at Hulu’s Get Real event on Wednesday, April 22. “I was surprised when we went to glam for this that she wasn’t with us. I heard she was sick, but I really don’t know.”

At 26, Jen is one of the original stars of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the popular Hulu reality series focused on a group of young Mormon mom influencers in Utah. After relocating full-time to California with her husband, Zac Affleck, rumors began circulating about her potentially leading a spinoff on Hulu.

On Wednesday, Hulu confirmed that an Orange County version of Mormon Wives is in the works, featuring McCall as well as Mayci Neeley‘s sisters, along with Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Bobbi Althoff, Salomé Andrea, Ashleigh Pease, Madison Bontempo, and Chandler Higginson. There has been no official announcement regarding Jen’s involvement in Mormon Wives: Orange County or any possibility of her appearing in the future.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is set to broaden its reach with its first spinoff. “She lives where we all live,” Avery, 31, expressed to ET, discussing the speculation. “She’s part of the Orange County mom group, and we’re all doing our best to support her in finding a new community since she moved from Utah.”

Aspyn added that she’s “not sure” if Jen’s transition will be featured in the Utah series or the California spinoff. (Production on the original series has recently resumed for season 5 after being paused due to Taylor Frankie Paul’s domestic violence investigation. Taylor, 31, has denied the accusations, with police later deciding not to press charges in April. It’s unclear if she will return for the show.)

“I haven’t seen [Jen] yet,” Aspyn, 30, teased about the initial episodes of Mormon Wives: Orange County. “I think I’ll be seeing her soon.”

Aspyn, Avery, and McCall have shot only a few scenes for their new series so far.

“It’s a very diverse cast,” McCall, 36, stated exclusively to Us Weekly at Wednesday’s event. “There are a few girls similar to me who are traditional housewives, alongside some that are more like girlbosses with established podcasts and a strong presence in the influencing scene.”

McCall resides in Southern California with her husband, Kirk DaPron, and their four children. She’s stepping into the limelight, following the path paved by her younger sister Mayci, who is also a co-star of Jen on the original Mormon Wives.
