Rose McIver of Ghosts Explains Her ‘Absence’ in Season 6

Rose McIver recently shared insights about her “absence” from several episodes when Ghosts returns for its sixth season.

On Friday, September 25, McIver, 37, posted a photo of a baby’s hand on Instagram, stating, “Keen-eyed viewers will notice that Sam is a little absent at the start of this season of Ghosts — I’ve been a wee bit preoccupied but will be back to join everyone soon!”

She expressed her gratitude, saying: “Huge thanks to everyone for your patience. I love both my jobs and feel truly fortunate to be supported in both.”

Her announcement hinted at the arrival of baby No. 2 with her husband George Byrne. The couple, who tied the knot in 2023, had previously welcomed a daughter in 2024. Consequently, Ghosts took measures to conceal McIver’s baby bump during season 3.
