Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo appeared to be in love while filming Southern Charm season 10, but following their breakup, some of their on-screen moments haven’t stood the test of time.
In season 10, episode 4, which aired in January, Craig remarked to Austen Kroll, “My entire life is now about business. That’s what excites me — making money, getting healthy, and being with my girlfriend.”
This mantra, which Craig shared before his split with Paige in December 2024 after three years together, is part of what makes viewers reevaluate certain scenes this season.
Many of Craig’s aspirations revolved around Paige, like his decision to freeze his sperm and postpone his dreams of fatherhood until she felt ready. Their casual conversation about marriage now feels particularly poignant given their current status as ex-couples.
“She’s fulfilling housewife responsibilities,” noted Madison LeCroy in episode 5 after seeing Paige create floral arrangements for a gathering at Craig’s place. She quipped, “What about getting engaged without actually being engaged?”
Craig replied that they were “essentially” engaged, and Paige didn’t contest this assertion.

A Home for Two

“For Paige and I, spending time in the backyard is our quality time,” Craig shared in episode 3, which aired in December 2024. He showcased his completed Charleston home and reflected, “At the beginning of our relationship, we were always out. Now we prefer to relax at home.”
Craig explained, “We’ve grown together. This place is our sanctuary away from everything, allowing us to unwind and deepen our connection.”
Storing His Sperm
In episode 4, Craig stunned friends Austen and Shep Rose by announcing, “Paige and I are going to freeze my sperm.”
His discussion with Paige was just as surprising, as he shared his intention to freeze his sperm. “Isn’t that a wild idea?” a shocked Paige responded.
Craig assured his friends it was Paige’s choice to wait on having children, confessing that “without her influence” he would be following a quicker timeline. “Typically, you date, then marry, and have kids,” he explained.
Changing the Game Plan

In the same episode, Craig shared, “I do want kids at some point. Did I ever mention that I want them now?” He insisted that he had never claimed he was ready for kids immediately.
However, Austen didn’t buy it, stating on camera, “Craig has always wanted to marry and start a family.” He added, “I’m not convinced that Craig is fully aligned with what Paige desires.”
Craig later admitted that meeting Paige altered his perspective. “My envisioned life isn’t what I’m living now; it was the stable home I grew up in,” he confided to the cameras. “Every dinner was shared with my parents and brother. I loved that.”
He concluded, “But if you meet the right person, who happens to be a spirited Italian from New York, expect things not to follow your predefined route.”
Sew What?

Paige supported Craig’s Sewing Down South business throughout their relationship. They shared a light-hearted moment in episode 4, airing January 2, when envisioning a multifunctional room in his house.
“Don’t worry about me, you pursue your vision for that room,” Paige encouraged Craig, who wanted it to double as a crafting space.
Paige humorously added, “I want you to be able to hem my clothes. It’s been three years, and I’ve yet to receive a single hemmed item!”
While she welcomed a sewing area, she balked at one of Craig’s more eccentric ideas. “What do you think about a wall for wrapping paper?” he suggested, to which Paige retorted, “What the f—? No.”
Kids in Storage

In episode 5, Craig joked about throwing a celebration for freezing his sperm. He then mentioned he’d leave his sperm to Paige if he passed away, in case she wanted more children.
“Is there a return policy?” she laughed. Yet Craig was serious about his hope for their future.
“In a romantic world, I die and you’re like, ‘But I want to have his children,’” he said, although Paige stated, “I would never do that.”
She argued, “Am I supposed to have a child without a father present?” Craig replied that he understood but felt it would be a “gift” for her since it would give her a “choice.”
The Ideal Home

During episode 7, which aired on January 23, Craig and Shep engaged in a heart-to-heart about Craig’s ups and downs with Paige. Shep observed, “You’ve always wanted a white picket fence life, and now you have it.”
Craig confessed, “Everyone knows that if it were up to me, we would be engaged already. But she often changes her mind about everything.”
Craig Conover has evolved significantly since his first appearance on reality television in 2014. His journey throughout season 9 — along with his witty remarks — establishes him as Southern Charm’s unsung hero in 2023. Craig’s transformation has been evident since the September debut. “[I] started focusing on being healthier, reducing my drinking, and trying to gain…”
Craig elaborated on Paige’s changing sentiments, stating, “One moment she’ll text, ‘Let’s build a f—ing farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.’ Then the next, after a good day in New York, she proclaims, ‘I adore it here.’”
Shep questioned if that was hard to cope with, to which Craig replied, “It can be confusing.” He acknowledged, “That’s life: full of decisions and compromises.”
Craig later shared his concerns regarding deviating from Paige’s timeline instead of his own. “Waiting a few years to have a child isn’t a big deal. However, what if Paige decides to turn that couple of years into ten?”
To Bee or Not to Bee

In episode 9, which aired on February 6, Craig and Paige went shopping for bees for his Charleston estate, where Craig deemed the excursion his “dream.” Paige, however, admitted she wasn’t keen on the concept of farm life.
“At times, I slip into the fantasy of us having a farm and a lot of children,” Craig shared. Paige recognized she too creates “imaginary scenarios” but claimed her perspective was more “practical” than his.
Craig expressed his appreciation for Paige’s realistic approach but also revealed he cherished her enthusiasm for the future.
Though Paige said she didn’t have a “list” of things she wanted to accomplish before marriage and kids, she insisted she deserved the same time Craig took in his early 30s to make her own choices about when to start a family.
“I do feel some pressure. I’m just 31,” Paige explained to Craig. “Honestly, sometimes you make me feel like I’m 75.”
Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover were candid regarding their long-distance romance before their December 2024 breakup. “We do our best to spend time together and remain patient with each other,” Conover expressed to Us Weekly during the October 2024 Hayu FanFest in London. “We’re in a wonderful place, and fortunately, New York and….”
However, Paige voiced her irritation towards anyone dictating her timeline for having kids, asserting, “It’s absolutely my decision, as I’m the one who carries it,” she emphasized. “If you told me right now that we need to have a baby or you’re leaving, I’d tell you to leave.”
Craig understood her stance but admitted that when Paige referred to “our kids” or mentioned, “I’d make a wonderful husband,” it made him feel “as if she likes me.”
“Isn’t who I am sufficient? Am I not expressing enough love?” Paige shot back, stating, “If you can’t accept the amount of affection I give, that’s a personal issue.”
Craig labeled the conversation “silly,” explaining he was merely trying to be affectionate about their future.
Choosing Rings, Not Cities

In episode 9, despite a heated argument, Craig assured friends that he and Paige were moving toward engagement quickly.
He told Patricia Altschul at her annual dinner, “We’re getting married.” He added, “We aren’t letting ceremony details stop us from living our lives.”
Craig went on to say, “I plan to propose soon, aiming for this year. I even had her select her favorite ring from a sheet I showed her; she preferred an emerald-cut elongated cushion.”
When questioned if his proposal would lead Paige to move to Charleston permanently, he admitted, “We’re unsure of where we’re headed.” He then wondered, “Who says we must choose just one city?”
Embracing Paige’s World
“You shouldn’t have to persuade someone to like you. If they genuinely do, they’ll make time for you,” Craig remarked during the February 13 episode while reflecting on Shep’s challenging relationship.
He acknowledged his own flaws, admitting, “It’s an insecurity I’ve grappled with because Paige is incredibly occupied.” Craig shared, “Her career is paramount to her, and I’ve had to learn how to exist within that sphere.”
His Support System

In the March 6 episode, Craig confided in Austen about his struggles with alcohol, deeming himself an “addict.” He explained that he distanced himself from Austen to stay healthy, yet Paige stood by him unwaveringly.
“I sincerely apologize for not comprehending what you faced,” Austen remarked during their group trip to the Bahamas, inquiring, “[Are] you and Paige as strong as ever? Are you coping with the distance alright, or feeling alone?”
Craig confirmed that Paige had been “with him throughout.” He elaborated, “There’s a reason why Paige and I share a deep connection. I’m incredibly fortunate she chose me and saw potential in me. She played a pivotal role in helping me overcome these challenges.”
