Throughout previous seasons, Maddie has dedicated herself to the local spa she runs with her closest friends. This season, she seizes the opportunity to utilize her marketing degree as she steps in as a town spokesperson during TV news interviews.

Before long, a local independent book publishing house observes her interviews and contacts Maddie, inquiring if she’d be interested in joining their marketing team. The only catch? The job is based in New York City, requiring Maddie to relocate.

Since Maddie has recently married Cal and her children are deeply connected to the Serenity community, she consults her family about the possible move. Everyone expresses support and encourages her to pursue her dreams.

When Maddie shares the news with Helen and Dana Sue, they are initially stunned and a bit melancholy, but ultimately thrilled for her. Helen even assists Maddie in negotiating her salary before she accepts the position.

Since their wedding last season, Dana Sue and Ronnie (Brandon Quinn) have been enjoying life together. However, Ronnie’s carefree attitude and spur-of-the-moment motorcycle purchase raise Dana Sue’s concerns about a possible midlife crisis.

When Ronnie proposes the idea of starting a new business that offers guided road tours on electric bikes, Dana Sue expresses hesitation. In the season finale, they make a promising connection with a potential investor, leaving them optimistic about what lies ahead.

Noreen’s career and personal life flourish

During a severe storm in Serenity, many townspeople lend a helping hand, including Noreen (Jamie Lynn Spears), who has nursing experience. Along with local healthcare professional Howie (Shawn Passwaters), Noreen starts making house calls to assist residents.

Inspired by their efforts, the duo begins taking steps to establish a mobile clinic. Noreen plans to continue her part-time role at the spa while focusing more on her medical aspirations.

On the personal front, Noreen’s relationship with Jeremy (Chase Anderson) also progresses as he extends an invitation for her and her daughter to move in with him.

Isaac finds a new romantic interest

When one of Isaac’s (Chris Medlin) former classmates arrives in town to assist with emergency services after a storm, he is caught off guard. Despite their past disagreements, a surprising chemistry ignites between them.

After a few awkward exchanges, they begin to flirt, eventually deciding to go on a date. At a holiday gathering during the season finale, their connection heats up with their first kiss.

Annie receives acceptance into an art school

Annie (Anneliese Judge) has dedicated herself to developing her photography skills, and her efforts pay off when she’s accepted to an art school in California. Although Dana Sue worries about the expenses and distance, she proudly reassures her daughter that they will “find a way” to support her dream.

Annie and Ty face challenges

As Ty (Carson Rowland) and Annie finally begin dating this season, their relationship is tested by distance when Ty leaves for a music career.

Upon his return just before Christmas, Ty announces his upcoming European tour in the summer and into fall.

While Annie is set to start school in the fall, Ty suggests she postpone her education for a semester to accompany him on tour. They both are hesitant to abandon their aspirations, finding themselves at a crossroads.

In a moment of frustration, Annie walks away, stating, “You took 17 years to tell me you love me. If we can’t last one more, maybe that’s our answer.”

Pastor June goes into labor

During her Christmas Eve sermon, a very expectant Pastor June (Tracey Bonner) abruptly halts the service as contractions begin. Though hesitant to leave her congregation on such a significant day, Helen and Erik encourage her to head to the hospital immediately.

Helen steps in to perform a stunning rendition of “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” and later, Pastor June gives birth to a healthy baby.

Kyle and Lily’s relationship problems ease

Kyle (Logan Allen) and Lily (Artemis) are basking in their romance, now that they are officially a couple. However, Lily’s frustration grows as a new male friend monopolizes Kyle’s time.

In the season finale, Kyle tries to make amends with a grand romantic gesture, but Lily insists she simply wants to return to normalcy. He understands and they share a tender moment at a local holiday event.
