Katie Ginella’s Upcoming Journey on ‘RHOC’ Unveiled (Exclusive)
Don’t dismiss Katie Ginella from The Real Housewives of Orange County just yet.
Although the Bravo star faced some backlash from the cast after “failing” a lie detector test, Katie, 41, remains optimistic about reuniting with the ladies at the season 19 reunion taping.
“I would love to be at the reunion,” Katie exclusively shared with Us Weekly before the September 4 episode of Bravo’s reality series. “They invited me to BravoCon, which I’m really looking forward to. Many of [my costars] are saying, ‘If Katie returns, I won’t.’ So maybe we should all check the comments and see who the viewers want back.”
If Katie is able to attend the reunion with her costars, including Emily Simpson, Jennifer Pedranti, Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Gretchen Rossi, and Gina Kirschenheiter, she hopes to receive some apologies.
“I’m actually putting the reunion in a mental folder because thankfully it’s not happening soon,” she explained. “Also, it’s quite daunting. I don’t think I need anything clarified; I think what I need are some apologies.”
From Katie’s viewpoint, Real Housewives of Orange County fans have been very supportive and encouraging this season.
Given the positive feedback from viewers, Katie is surprised that some costars haven’t reached out to initiate a conversation.
“I recently mentioned that I expected more feedback from them, like, ‘Hey, that didn’t look good. I could have handled it better. I’m sorry,’” Katie shared. “But it’s been crickets.”
In a separate chat with Us, Tamra, 58, revealed she has recently DMed Katie and affirmed that “fans love her.”
During the August 28 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Katie’s future on the show was called into question when Emily, 49, removed her from a party after a lie detector test regarding her alleged involvement with reality TV commentator Kiki Monique. (Katie maintains she was truthful during the cast event.)
“No one is going to believe me, but I can sleep at night knowing I told the truth,” she stated during a confessional interview. “This might be the last time anyone sees me with this group of women.”
Us has learned that Katie will not film any more scenes with the entire cast for the remainder of season 19.
Despite a tough season, Katie is thankful for the support from her family, including husband Matt Ginella. She has also received encouragement from other Housewives from different franchises.
“They have been very helpful and kind, but unfortunately, it feels like a singular experience,” Katie explained without naming names. “No two experiences are alike.”
One friendship Katie is eager to mend is her relationship with Jennifer, 48.
“We were really good friends, and even our kids became friends,” she explained. “I really hoped we could have petty disagreements over ‘I saw your dress at Neiman Marcus.’ But it turned out much deeper. It’s been profoundly hurtful.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Bravo Thursdays at 8 p.m. Stream past episodes anytime on Peacock.
