Taylor Swift has one key fashion critic: her fans.

During a visit to the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, December 12, the “Karma” singer warmly surprised patients, staff, and their families, and graciously accepted compliments about her outfit.

“Thank you for saying my outfit [is] tea. You just made my day,” she responded sweetly to a young fan named Naya, who wore a “What Goes Around…Comes Around” pink t-shirt along with a stack of friendship bracelets.

After sharing snapshots and gifting Naya a signed copy of her commemorative Eras Tour book, the Grammy winner delighted her with something truly special: a TikTok cameo for her song “Bad Blood,” filmed right in the hospital.

During her visit, Taylor Swift connected with young patients over their shared enthusiasm for the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. One child excitedly told her, “I like Travis now,” as seen in a fan-recorded video circulating on X. Swift seamlessly engaged with the kids, continuing the cheerful vibe.

“Just woke up to find myself hanging out with Taylor Swift,” the fan captioned the video. It captured Swift, 34, entering the hospital room with a flourish, channeling her signature moves from the Eras Tour music video.

Her outfit was a departure from the glamorous sparkly pink Roberto Cavalli bralette and skirt she donned during her record-breaking tour, which concluded on December 8 in Vancouver.

This time, Swift embraced a more casual look, sporting a Miu Miu plaid button-down shirt and a pleated skirt, teamed with black opaque tights and her iconic Christian Louboutin knee-high boots—sans sequins. Her makeup was completed with her go-to Pat McGrath matte red lipstick.

Though the ensemble was understated compared to her Eras Tour costumes, it was undoubtedly “tea”—classic T. Swift. Plaids have become a signature of her Chiefs game day outfits, which recently featured a Versace skirt suit and a Vivienne Westwood dress. She previously showed off her luxury side with a Louis Vuitton watch and Gucci loafers, all while wrapped in a Carolina Herrera plaid coat.

As Swift approaches her 35th birthday on Friday, December 13, fans are curious about what her next style journey will entail. One thing is certain: she started this chapter by spreading joy and inspiring festive holiday fashion.
