Vera Wang Confirms Taylor Swift Will Change Dresses at Travis Kelce’s Wedding

Designer Vera Wang anticipates that Taylor Swift will don several high-fashion wedding gowns when she marries her fiancé Travis Kelce.

“I don’t think there will be just one [dress]. That would be my guess,” Wang, 75, remarked to E! News during The DKMS 19th Annual Gala on Wednesday, October 15.

Wang — who has dressed stars like Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande, Victoria Beckham, and Gwen Stefani for their nuptials — expressed that she sensed a proposal was imminent prior to Swift and Kelce’s engagement announcement in August.

“I kind of had a feeling that was going to happen. I’m so happy for her,” Wang added.

At the same event, designer Christian Siriano predicted a specific fabric choice for the “Fate of Ophelia” hitmaker. “Taylor, I think, will be in lace of some sort,” Siriano, 39, shared.

Notably, Swift, 35, wore Simkhai’s “Joy” Guipure lace long-sleeved mini dress during a date night with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, earlier this year.

If the chart-topping artist opts for more than one outfit on her special day, she would be following in the footsteps of BFF Selena Gomez, who wore three wedding gowns designed by Ralph Lauren when marrying Benny Blanco.

Swift adorned herself in designs from Maticevski and Oscar de la Renta’s pre-spring 2026 collection while attending the festive occasion.

For her part, Gomez first dazzled in an elegant satin gown with a high-neck collar and a deep V detail at the back, flowing into a stunning train, complemented by a long veil and 12-carat diamond drop earrings by Tiffany & Co.

Gomez, 33, radiated Hollywood glamour in her second look, which featured a lace fabric bodice and sheer fabric at the bottom to showcase her white pumps.

Her third outfit was a midi dress with a criss-cross neckline, making it easy for her to glide effortlessly with her new husband, 37, who was also clad in Ralph Lauren, across the dance floor.

Swift, similarly, wore a striped silk-blend dress from Polo Ralph Lauren — which sold out within hours of her engagement announcement — when Kelce proposed.

According to an insider who spoke exclusively with Us Weekly, Swift and Kelce are already exploring locations and venues for their vows.

“It’s still in the very early planning stages,” the source shared with Us, noting that the big day is “likely going to be early next year. She is having so much fun researching.”

Numerous prominent figures in fashion have reached out to the singer to offer their services for designing her wedding attire.

“She has been so blown away, overwhelmed, and flattered at the same time, but she hasn’t made a decision,” the insider told Us, pointing out that she and Kelce are keeping their options flexible as they envision their dream event.

“They don’t want a big, extravagant wedding with tons of people. It will be a private gathering with friends and family, not a plethora of celebrities or random guests,” the source explained. “It will be meaningful, and they will be surrounded by those who matter most to them.”
