Will Pregnant Anne Hathaway Share the Sex of Her Third Baby?
Expecting mother Anne Hathaway remains tight-lipped about the gender of her third baby.
The Oscar-winning actress made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, August 10, where guest host Anthony Anderson predicted that Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman are likely having another boy.
“I consider myself a baby whisperer,” Anderson, 55, mentioned to Hathaway. “This is my first time seeing you pregnant, and it looks like it’s a boy. Am I right, or are you keeping it a secret?”
The Odyssey star, 43, replied, “We know [but] we’re not sharing.”
As the audience cheered, Hathaway expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for the support. It always feels a bit rude to say that,” adding that she “feels bad” for not disclosing the sex of the baby when asked.
Hathaway was also questioned about her plans to “release five movies and a baby” in 2026. She has already starred in Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, and The Odyssey, and is set to feature in the sci-fi thriller The End of Oak Street premiering on Friday, August 14. In October, she will be seen in the Colleen Hoover adaptation Verity.
The actress stated she feels “fortunate” to have so much coming up this year, adding, “It’s amazing. I could never have imagined anything like this. The best you can do is lean in, say yes, enjoy yourself, laugh hard, and create some lasting memories.”
Hathaway and Shulman’s sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, are also eager to create special memories with their new sibling.
“[They’re] thrilled,” Hathaway shared. “It feels really wonderful. It’s as if the whole family is celebrating this baby. While I’ll feel like I’m having a baby during this time, the emotional sense is that we’re all preparing to welcome this little one.”
Hathaway’s guest spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live! coincided with her recent rebuttal of online speculation about a fake baby bump after sporting a crop top the previous day.
On Sunday, August 9, Hathaway attended the world premiere of The End of Oak Street with her co-star Ewan McGregor in Burbank, California, donning a light blue top and low-cut jeans.
“Fake hair, real bump 😘 ✌️🦖🔥☀️🦕😅,” Hathaway captioned an Instagram video as she prepped for the red carpet event. “Join me for the @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos while my outfit literally melts in the heat!!”
Hathaway revealed her pregnancy in June via Instagram, humorously mentioning that she and Shulman are “calling this one our buzzer-beater,” referencing the term for a last-second score in basketball.
