Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin’s Sons Step Out for Their First Red Carpet Event
Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin’s two sons are all grown up and making their debut on the red carpet!
Dallas, 46, and Goodwin, 47, attended the premiere of her new movie Zootopia 2 in Los Angeles on Thursday, November 13, accompanied by their sons Oliver, 10, and Hugo, 8.
Goodwin, the voice of Judy Hopps in both the original Zootopia from 2016 and its sequel, dazzled in an off-the-shoulder cream gown adorned with floral details along the bodice. Dallas complemented her look with a beige suit, while Oliver and Hugo sported matching black suits and square-shaped glasses.
The couple met on the set of ABC’s Once Upon a Time, where they portrayed Prince Charming and Snow White. Their on-screen chemistry quickly developed into a real-life romance.
“I mean, it was pretty soon after the read-through or the pilot,” Dallas shared with Us Weekly in 2020 about falling for Goodwin. “It happened very organically—actors typically don’t fall in love off set, do they? That never happens in this industry. But here we are, two kids later, and we’re still going strong. Just look at Ginnifer Goodwin—how could you not [fall in love]?”
The Manifest star and Goodwin tied the knot in 2014, shortly before welcoming Oliver the same year. Hugo arrived two years later in 2016.
“Every day is a milestone,” Dallas told Us in 2015 after Oliver’s birth. “He can climb stairs like a ninja and hold his own bottle. Each day brings something new that amazes you as a parent. Sleep is elusive—a slippery devil. I can’t seem to catch it, but it’s a joy to care for him—he’s my little dude.”
Though Dallas and Goodwin generally keep their family life private, they strive to balance their parenting duties with their busy careers and relationship.
“We do have a village,” Goodwin told Us in January 2020. “We enjoy day dates, like cooking together for a long time or visiting a museum.”
Goodwin acknowledges how fortunate she is to have children with Dallas, even jokingly offering his sperm donation services to a friend.
“My husband and best friend were concerned it might lead to complications,” Goodwin shared on SiriusXM’s Pop Culture Spotlight With Jessica Shaw in January 2022. “I felt like you should procreate. I was like, ‘Seriously, we could arrange this, and there would be more little Joshes in the world. I love that idea!’”
She even tried to persuade Dallas, saying, “Look, there are turkey basters. It’s not like you won’t be in the kid’s life—you’re involved in my best friend’s life!”
