Recently, Netflix released a trailer and new images showcasing Emily (Lily Collins) starting a new chapter in Rome alongside Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), while Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) remains in Paris. As for Mindy, a steamy scene with Lucien captured fans’ attention, leaving them curious about what lies ahead for the previously platonic pair.

“What’s fascinating is that this feels unexpected, yet Lucien is one of my closest friends on the show,” Park disclosed. “We always joked about how much we enjoy each other’s company, but never had scenes together. This year really added to the fun.”

Last month, Us also spoke with Park at the Netflix House Philadelphia VIP Housewarming Party, where she expressed her amazement at how far the show — and its cast — has come since its debut in October 2020.

“Lily and I were just discussing this the other day,” she mentioned. “We’ve known each other for nearly five years, and it’s fascinating to step back into the shoes of a character just days later when you’ve personally evolved over six months to a year [between seasons].”

Park noted that Emily in Paris “has completely transformed my life in terms of the opportunities and discussions I get to engage in. Thanks to Netflix’s global reach, I’m able to connect with people from all over the world. I feel very thankful.”
