RHONY’s Jessel Taank Hints at Friction with Erin Lichy
Jessel Taank is unsettled by the news she’s hearing about her co-star and former friend Erin Lichy.
In Us’s exclusive preview of the Tuesday, September 8, season 16 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City, Jessel, 46, is posed with a question that raises some concerns.
“How have you been?” new cast member Hailey Glassman inquires. “Are you still working on IVF and all that stuff?”
After a moment of hesitation, Jessel begins to question how her latest co-star is privy to such intimate details.
“Erin mentioned that she relates to you because your father passed away and hers did too, and then she brought up IVF,” Hailey, 39, explains, trying to avoid any conflict. “Honestly, I blacked out because I get carried away at night. I don’t really recall the context, but I was [exhausted].”
In a later confessional, Hailey reveals the truth behind her lack of memory regarding the specifics of the conversation.
“I was as high as a JetBlue flight when Erin came over,” she confesses. “I couldn’t even tell you what was happening.”
In classic Real Housewives style, producers play back footage from Hailey and Erin’s conversation just three days prior.
“We found out she had an issue with IVF,” Erin, 39, tells Hailey. “That’s why she wasn’t having sex, but that wasn’t how it was communicated to us. I never feel like I get the complete picture.”
Jessel clarifies that she isn’t upset about Hailey mentioning the subject or being aware of it. Instead, she questions why she wasn’t the one to share this information first.
“Here’s the thing about our friend over there,” Jessel remarks as the cameras shift to Erin. “She enjoys sharing information that isn’t hers. I wasn’t offended that you knew about my IVF. I’m very open about that. But it’s not her story to tell; it’s mine.”
Ahead of season 16’s premiere, Jessel spoke with Us about who she thinks could be the biggest troublemaker. While fans will need to watch to see what unfolds, the Bravo star had someone specific in mind.
“Erin is the reigning champion of stirring the pot,” she declared. “I don’t think she’s ready to let that trophy go to anyone else.”
