Lauren Sanchez Playfully Discusses Having a Baby with Jeff Bezos

Lauren Sánchez Bezos isn’t shy about entertaining the thought of adding another member to the family with her husband, Jeff Bezos.

“I would have another one tomorrow. Tomorrow,” Lauren, 56, stated during an interview with The New York Times published on Saturday, April 11.

When asked if she and Jeff, 62, were contemplating an extension to their blended family, she emphatically replied, “I would have a baby tomorrow.” The publication noted that Lauren sported a “coy smile” while making and reaffirming this statement.

However, a spokesperson clarified to The New York Times that Lauren is not expecting a baby.

Lauren Sánchez expanded her family when she married Jeff Bezos in 2025. During their wedding celebration in Venice, she honored her three kids by giving them special duties: her sons walked her down the aisle while her daughter acted as her maid of honor. Before exchanging vows […]

The couple, engaged in 2023, have openly discussed the process of blending their families throughout their high-profile relationship.

“On a typical Saturday, we hang out, we have dinner with the kids,” Lauren reminisced to The Wall Street Journal in 2023, “and it’s always fun because the conversations can go anywhere with so many kids around.”

Lauren has son Nikko, 25, from her previous relationship with Tony Gonzales, and son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 18, with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. It took “about five years” for her and Gonzales’ family to reach the harmonious co-parenting relationship they enjoy now. (Jeff, on the other hand, has four children with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott.)

“I’m not suggesting that being best friends with your ex is the ultimate goal. But effective communication is crucial,” she shared in 2023. “I take pride in it. My son looks at me and says, ‘I’m the luckiest boy in the world because I can have Thanksgiving with both my parents, and they don’t have to be married.’”

When Lauren and Jeff got married two years later in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy, she ensured her three children were involved in the celebration. Her sons walked her down the aisle, and her daughter served as her maid of honor.

In her New York Times interview published on Saturday, Lauren reportedly became emotional reflecting on the heartfelt toasts her children delivered during the wedding.

Months after their wedding, Lauren celebrated a significant milestone with her son.

“Dropped off Evan at college today,” Lauren shared on her Instagram Story in August 2025. “After 18 years of early mornings, late-night snacks, and family dinners… there he was, building his own dorm cabinet.”

“A small moment, but I saw the beginning of his next chapter. Proud. Heartbroken. Grateful,” she concluded, including a photo of Evan assembling a piece of furniture on the floor.
