RHOC’s Shannon Beador Shares Heartbreaking News About Dog’s Brain Cancer Diagnosis
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has shared a heart-wrenching update regarding her cherished pet, dog Archie.
“I usually post fun and silly moments with my dogs, but today I felt it necessary to share something serious,” Beador, 62, expressed via Instagram on Tuesday, May 5. “After suffering multiple seizures, Archie has been diagnosed with brain cancer.”
She added, “Our hearts are shattered for our sweet Archie. He means everything to my daughters and me. We’re committed to doing all we can to help him in this fight.”
Shannon, who has three daughters with ex-husband David Beador, is currently exploring treatment options for her beloved dog.
“Archie has seen both a neurologist and an oncologist, and it’s been advised that he begins radiation therapy soon,” Beador explained. “If anyone has insights or advice, it would mean the world to my daughters and me. Please don’t hesitate to DM us. Thank you for loving Archie as we do 🤍.”
Previously, Archie was injured in 2024 after being bitten by another dog.
“Archie was bitten by another dog during our walk,” Shannon recounted in a June 2024 post. “The dog was behind its front patio but managed to bite Archie through the slats. The owner suggested I walked too close to the fence 😡. In all of his 8 years, Archie has never been in a dog fight!!”
Nearly two months after Archie’s recovery, Shannon raised concerns about his health when she mentioned in a social media update that he was “in heaven.”
“I referred to him as being ‘in heaven’ due to the many little dogs surrounding him,” the Bravolebrity explained in August 2024, speaking about a previous post featuring Archie at a puppy playdate. “Little dogs are his favorite. Archie is doing great!!!”
Shannon adopted Archie in 2016.
“He was raised in San Francisco at the Four Seasons hotel where his owners worked, leaving him alone often. He’s certainly been raised in luxury,” she mentioned in a 2019 video shared by Bravo. “He’s playful and protective with delightful quirks that make us all adore him.”
Two years later, Shannon announced that Archie was missing but he was found within days.
“Archie is home!” Shannon posted on Instagram in November 2021. “Thank you to everyone who helped throughout the night, especially my neighbor who took him in and kept him safe! ❤️ Immensely grateful.”
