Brandi Glanville Fires Back at LeAnn Rimes Amid RHOBH Speculation
Brandi Glanville has directed her focus towards LeAnn Rimes as rumors circulate about the country music icon potentially joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I really hope the rumors about RHOBH are accurate,” Glanville, 53, shared via X on Wednesday, May 6. “After all, she already has everything else of mine — husband, children, assets, and health struggles. She might as well join the show and complete the picture.”
As noted by DeuxMoi, Rimes, 43, is under consideration during ongoing casting discussions as the successful reality series wraps up its three-part reunion on Thursday, May 7. (Bravo does not comment on rumors regarding casting. Us has reached out to Rimes’ manager for a statement.)
Glanville was a regular on the popular Bravo show from seasons 2 through 5, making guest appearances in seasons 6, 9, and 10.
The casting speculation has quickly caught the interest of Real Housewives enthusiasts, including Bravo personalities Dolores Catania and Teddi Mellencamp.
On the May 6 episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast, Mellencamp — a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during seasons 8 through 10 — expressed skepticism toward the rumors.
“I genuinely doubt this,” she stated. “That’s not going to occur. Besides, I just can’t picture it.”
Mellencamp likened Rimes to Bachelor Nation and The Real Housewives of Rhode Island star Ashley Iaconetti Haibon, who is known for her emotional nature.
“She has a lot happening in her life,” Mellencamp remarked. “I just can’t envision LeAnn Rimes as part of the upcoming season.”
Catania added, “I hope to see something fresh in the next season. But that’s just my perspective.”
Glanville and Rimes share a complicated history, dating back to when 911: Nashville star was rumored to be involved with Glanville’s spouse, Eddie Cibrian.
Since then, both sides have exchanged various allegations, although the pair seem to have reached an understanding.
“I genuinely like her. We have a great relationship. Holidays are always a blast,” Rimes mentioned to Us Weekly during the 2022 CMT Music Awards. “We are united through the boys and have profound respect for each other.”
However, last month, Glanville seemed to throw shade at Rimes regarding her viral jaw release treatment video, which some alleged was staged.
“I can’t comprehend why I saw that. I have undergone it multiple times [due to] having TMJ,” she stated in an episode of her “Unfiltered” podcast. “They don gloves and go inside your mouth, and it’s quite painful. I suppose I just have a high pain threshold.”
Rimes later addressed allegations about her acting in that video, saying on April 18, “I can act, but I’m not that skilled. I’m not Meryl Streep.”
