Explaining Tucker’s Future Season: Off Campus Easter Eggs Uncovered
By examining the details closely, Off Campus hints at what lies ahead for John Tucker.
Off Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance series, follows a group of college athletes navigating love on campus. The debut season of this Prime Video series draws from The Deal, which centers around captain Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) as he embarks on a fake-turned-authentic romance with Hannah Wells (Ella Bright).
Garrett’s three roommates—John Logan (Antonio Cipriano), Dean Heyward-Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn), and Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks)—are featured in the subsequent Off Campus novels. Tucker eventually finds romance with Sabrina James in The Goal.
Though Tucker has yet to meet Sabrina, who hasn’t been cast by the end of season 1, there are indications about her story arc.

Tucker Must Monitor Various Fruits
In season 1 of the Prime Video series, Tucker pledges to the fraternity of Dean and Beau Maxwell (Khobe Clarke). The pair inform Tucker that he must care for a grape as part of the hazing process. If the grape gets compromised or lost, Tucker will have to tend to a larger fruit. Throughout the episodes, the grape is exchanged for a strawberry, a banana, and eventually a watermelon.
“Apparently, it’s been said that Tucker holding a fruit in season 1 foreshadows his fate since babies are measured by fruit in the womb,” one fan tweeted in May 2026. Another added, “Whoever wrote the fruit gag for Tucker deserves a raise immediately.”
What Happens in Tucker’s Book?
In the initial scenes of The Goal, Tucker and aspiring law student Sabrina share a moment in his truck outside a local bar. Sabrina later finds out she’s pregnant, leading them to plan for a life with their child. They ultimately welcome their daughter Jamie before tying the knot in Kennedy’s The Legacy epilogue.
Tucker and Sabrina later have a second daughter, Alex, as per Kennedy’s Campus Diaries sequel series.

In another instance within the Off Campus series, Brooks’ Tucker attends a joint birthday celebration for Dean and Beau. The theme is “dynamic duos,” leading Tucker and Logan to dress as a bumblebee and a hawk, respectively.
“I’m a bumblebee, and Logan’s a hawk or a bird,” Brooks shared with Deadline in May 2026. “[It’s a] whole play on words with the birds and the bees, relating to both John Logan and John Tucker’s narratives, particularly John Tucker’s. There’s a lot of foreshadowing in that episode.”
What Jalen Thomas Brooks Said About His ‘Off Campus’ Future
Brooks is anticipated to return for Off Campus season 2, revealing to Us Weekly in May 2026 that he has already read the first couple of scripts.
“You’re going to witness Tucker evolve into the character he’s known to be in the books,” he teased. “I’m eager for audiences to see Tucker, [who is] supposed to sneak up on people and incorporate a bit of romance.”
It remains uncertain whether Tucker, Dean, or Logan’s love stories will take center stage in season 2, although creators are optimistic that all three will eventually be captured on screen.
As the adaptation of The Goal prepares for Prime Video, Brooks will be ready for his moment in the limelight.
“I truly enjoyed observing Belmont lead by example,” Brooks told Us. “This first season has been about understanding how others embrace leadership roles. A significant part of our discussion, among the guys on the show, was about how to treat the crew and cast while leading by example.”
Off Campus season 1 is currently available on Prime Video.
