Elsie Hewitt Declares She’s “On My Own” Following Pete Davidson Breakup

Elsie Hewitt provides insight into the challenges of single parenting after her breakup with Pete Davidson, just five months post their first child’s arrival.

On Saturday, May 16, Hewitt, 30, took to TikTok to respond to paparazzi shots of her walking with their daughter, Scottie, the day prior.

“Yes, I know. I’m tired, alright?” she said about the photos. “I should have left the house looking a bit better yesterday; I should have anticipated that this would happen.”

The images, released by TMZ on May 15, captured Hewitt in a baggy gray zip-up hoodie, her sunglasses perched on her head and hair tied back, as she strolled through New York City with her daughter’s stroller.

In the wake of her split from Pete Davidson, Elsie Hewitt is finding comfort in small moments. “It’s 9:22 p.m. I’ve been writing a letter to Scottie because I’ve been penning a book of letters for her since before she was born,” Hewitt, 30, shared in a TikTok clip on May 16.

Hewitt further explained, “Right now, I’m focusing on caring for my baby. I also have to work and support us, and I’m navigating this alone, which is a challenge.”

She humorously concluded, “Point taken, I’ll aim to look more put together next time I encounter the paparazzi on a walk with my daughter.”

In response to a follower’s inquiry about managing finances for Scottie on her own, Hewitt replied, “I am :),” although that comment seems to have been deleted.

Us Weekly reached out to Davidson’s representative for their take.

Hewitt’s video surfaced shortly after Us confirmed her breakup with Davidson, 32, after a year of dating.

Months after welcoming their daughter Scottie, Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are “working out their desires” in the relationship. “They are determining their path,” a source close to the couple told Us Weekly exclusively. “They are on their schedule and it’s up to them to decide their future.” The insider noted that they’re still figuring things out post-split.

“They are still resolving issues concerning their separation,” the source added exclusively to Us. “They attempted to make it work, but faced various pressures, including new parenthood, as they were still getting to know each other. Both are trying to accommodate their baby in their schedules.”

The insider expressed that a romantic reconciliation is “very unlikely.”

“They are still supporting each other while going their separate ways, focusing on co-parenting and their baby,” added the source.

Hewitt and Davidson began dating in March 2025, announcing their pregnancy by July. Their daughter, Scottie — named in honor of Davidson’s father, who died during the 9/11 attacks — was born in December 2025.

“The greatest thing I can share is that [Scottie is] the biggest blessing,” Davidson told Us a month after her birth. “Nothing else feels as significant as this — not my career, social activities, or what people think of me. Sure, I still want to pursue exciting endeavors, but now I constantly weigh how long I’ll be away or if it’s worth the time apart.”
