How the Cast of Yellowstone’s Dutton Ranch Looks in Real Life
The Dutton Ranch from Yellowstone has put in considerable effort to ensure their cast looks quite different for Rip and Beth’s spinoff compared to their real-life appearances.
The show on the Paramount Network, which debuted in 2018, introduced audiences to the fictional Dutton family. Yellowstone concluded in 2024, broadening its universe with Luke Grimes‘ CBS series Marshals and Dutton Ranch, which launched in May 2026.
“As Beth and Rip strive to forge a future together — away from the shadows of Yellowstone — they encounter harsh new realities and a merciless rival ranch that will do anything to safeguard its empire,” the synopsis states. “In South Texas, blood runs thicker, forgiveness is scarce, and the price of survival could cost your very soul.”
Weeks prior to the launch of Dutton Ranch, Us Weekly confirmed that Chad Feehan would not be returning as showrunner after completing season 1. Puck News reported in April that Feehan, who co-created Lawmen: Bass Reeves with Taylor Sheridan, parted ways with Dutton Ranch amid reported tensions with series stars Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly, among others.
Sheridan and his producing partner David Glasser, along with the lead actors, were reportedly more dissatisfied with Feehan’s management of the production than with the scripts. None of them have publicly commented on the rumors surrounding the situation.
