Stephen Colletti and Wife Welcome Their First Baby in Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach alum Stephen Colletti has become a father as his wife, Alex Weaver, gave birth to their first child.
The pair shared the joyful news of their son’s arrival on Instagram on Thursday, May 14, proudly naming him “Rhodes August Colletti 🤍.”
Weaver, 32, posted a touching black-and-white image showing the newborn holding her finger while Colletti, 40, held her hand.
This heartwarming moment also served as a virtual reunion for both Laguna Beach and One Tree Hill, with cast members from Colletti’s previous shows sending their best wishes in the comments.
“🥰Congratulations you two!!!!!! Can’t wait to meet little Rhodes!!!!” Dieter Schmitz, who starred alongside Colletti on MTV’s Laguna Beach, commented on Instagram.
James Lafferty, known for his role as Nathan Scott on One Tree Hill, was quick to congratulate them.
“That’s one fortunate little human. Congratulations to both of you. Best news ever ❤️❤️❤️,” Lafferty, who also co-created and co-stars with Colletti on Hulu’s Everyone Is Doing Great, replied.
Lafferty’s wife, Alexandra Park, also involved in the Hulu comedy, said, “The world is so ready for you, Rhodes August !!! Love you three 🥹🩵🫶🏼 🫶🏼🌙♥️🩵🌙🫶🏼.”
Robbie Jones, known for playing Quentin Fields on One Tree Hill, shared his own heartfelt message: “CONGRATULATIONS Daddy Colletti!! Wishing you all blessings! ❤️🥂.”
Kate Voegele, who portrayed Colletti’s love interest Mia on the CW series, added, “So sweet!! Congratulations friends!!”
“What a week! Congrats guys!” Bryan Greenberg, who played Jake Jagielski on the beloved drama, commented.
Ashley Wahler, married to Colletti’s former Laguna Beach co-star Jason Wahler, remarked, “Congratulations! LOVE that middle name ❤️.”
Ashley Rickards, who played Samantha “Sam” Walker on One Tree Hill, added, “Congratulations!! 🎉.”
Colletti also expressed his joy in the comments on his wife’s post, using emojis to illustrate their new status: “👶🏻👸🏼😊.”
Colletti and Weaver, a NASCAR reporter and host, married in October 2025, having gotten engaged in November 2023.
The couple revealed in January their plans to welcome their first child. Before Rhodes’ arrival, Colletti shared with Us Weekly that he sought advice from Lafferty, who became a dad in December 2025. “I’ve been leaning on him,” Colletti mentioned in May. “I’ve been observing him embrace fatherhood, and I’m so impressed with what he and [his wife] Alex have accomplished together. It’s incredible to witness your best friends embark on this journey while preparing for my own with my wife.”
