Joe Jonas Provides Update on Co-Parenting with Sophie Turner
Joe Jonas is providing rare insight into his coparenting relationship with ex-wife Sophie Turner.
“I’m a single dad, and I coparent with my children’s mother,” Joe, 36, stated on iHeartRadio’s “Hey Jonas!” podcast alongside his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas on Tuesday, June 2. “My children have given me new purpose in my life.”
Joe and Turner, 30, have joint custody of their daughters, Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, following their divorce in 2024.
The Jonas Brothers member mentioned that his kids are “the reason I do what I do now,” emphasizing that he puts in hard work while he’s away so he can cherish his time with them when they’re together.
“They’ve truly given me a reason to live,” he added. “In my darkest moments, I realize that a hug from them can make everything better.”
Joe also commended Turner and other members of his support network for assisting him in parenting.
“Many single parents face similar challenges, and I’m grateful to have a co-parent to share even the tough days with,” Joe expressed. “Having good people around me to help navigate these moments is incredibly special.”
He remarked about his children, “They’ve shown me that I can manage even my hardest days.”
Joe and Turner announced their separation in September 2023 after four years of marriage.
“After four wonderful years together, we’ve mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” they stated in a joint announcement. “There are numerous speculative narratives regarding the reasons, but this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope everyone respects our privacy for ourselves and our children.”
The “Work It Out” singer and Game of Thrones star finalized their divorce in September 2024.
“After a productive mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes across the U.S. and the U.K.,” they informed Us at the time. “We look forward to being great coparents.”
Turner reflected on their coparenting in a May 2024 interview with British Vogue.
“I believe we’re doing our best,” she shared. “I’m confident that we can manage. Joe is a wonderful father to our children, and that’s all I can ask for.”
