Love Island’s Beatriz Was in a Romance with a 45-Year-Old Man
Love Island USA‘s Beatriz Hatz recently shared details about her past relationships, highlighting a notable age gap with an ex.
In the episode aired on Monday, June 8, of the Peacock series, Beatriz, who is now 25, discussed her previous relationships with Gabriel Vasconcelos. She opened up about an ex-boyfriend, stating, “I had two adult relationships. I was with this guy for three years, but we kept breaking up and getting back together. It was unhealthy. He was much older than me.”
When Gabriel inquired about the age difference, Beatriz revealed it was a 20-year gap. Gabriel then shared that he himself had an ex who was 18 years older.
Beatriz isn’t the only Islander with interesting stories. Earlier that week, the Islanders participated in reading out sexual trivia, revealing details about each other’s pasts. One surprising fact mentioned was that an Islander had been intimate with someone in their 50s.
“I was out having a great time with friends when she approached me. She looked incredible for her age,” shared Gabriel, 26, reflecting on his encounter with a 52-year-old. “We enjoyed a memorable night together. She was very experienced.”
Gabriel’s romantic history was humorously likened by the narrator Iain Stirling to that of a “reverse Leonardo DiCaprio,” poking fun at the actor’s preference for younger partners. Joining Beatriz and Gabriel in season 8 of Love Island USA are Aniya Harvey, Bryce Alakai Dettloff, KC Chandler, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sincere Rhea, Sean Reifel, Trinity, Corbin Mims, Kayda Bosse, and Zach Georgiou.
The show was supposed to include Vasana Montgomery, who was dismissed from season 8 of Love Island USA after old social media posts emerged showing her using a slur. Vasana was dropped before she could step into the villa, as producers were unaware of these posts during the casting process.
“I want to address a few videos from my teenage years that have come to light recently,” she stated on her Instagram Story this month. “In those videos, I used a racial slur, and I am embarrassed and ashamed of my actions.”
Vasana emphasized her desire to take responsibility for her past actions.
“I fully acknowledge my mistake and understand why it has affected and hurt people,” she continued. “Since then, I have grown significantly, taking the time to educate myself, understand the impact of my words, and become a better person.”
She remarked, “My growth does not negate my mistake, and I’m not expecting anyone to excuse it. I believe in accountability but also in growth, learning, and improvement. To those I’ve hurt or disappointed, I genuinely apologize.”
