Nick Cannon Promises Docuseries Will Address Family Inquiries
Nick Cannon is set to unveil the reality of co-parenting with six different women in his soon-to-be-released docuseries, where no topic is off-limits.
“My lifestyle has intrigued many for quite a while, so rather than allowing rumors to circulate, I’m going to present the truth,” Cannon, 45, shares in an exclusive interview with Us.
Cannon hints that the upcoming Netflix docuseries, debuting this winter, will capture the “authentic” and “unfiltered” aspects of being a father of 12.
“We’re being more candid and vulnerable and coming from a very unique background,” says the host of Masked Singer.
Cannon has twins Moroccan and Monroe, 15, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden, 9, and Rise, 4, and daughter Powerful, 5, with Brittany Bell; twin boys Zion and Zillion, 5, and daughter Beautiful, 3, with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary, 4, with Selling Sunset‘s Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx, 4, with LaNisha Cole.
Nick Cannon may well be the busiest individual in Hollywood. He’s a television and podcast presenter, radio host, comedian, rapper, and actor. Additionally, he is the father to 12 children with six different partners. “It’s a challenge,” Cannon, 45, admits to Us about his packed schedule, which also includes daily exercise routines to manage his lupus, the autoimmune condition.
The musician had a son named Zen with Alyssa Scott in 2021, who tragically passed away at five months due to a rare brain cancer. The two also have a daughter named Halo, aged 3.
“I believe people will be genuinely surprised by the immense love that exists in this unconventional family I’ve created,” Cannon shares with Us.
He emphasizes that viewers can look forward to an open and honest glimpse into his family life, indicating that nobody will be “holding back.”
Although Cannon is accustomed to being in the limelight, he admits that not all of his children’s mothers were immediately enthusiastic about allowing their homes to be captured on camera.
“They were questioning why we would allow cameras into our homes,” he reminisces. “Everyone was comfortable maintaining their privacy. But they all agreed to participate for me, and I’m thankful for that.”
The Drumline actor states that filming their lives prompts many challenging and awkward discussions that may not have happened otherwise due to the presence of cameras.
With the premiere approaching, Cannon tells Us that he isn’t feeling anxious about the project because he believes he is “prepared for this.”
Cannon acknowledges that his loved ones “didn’t really ask for this.” He expresses hope that they can manage the attention responsibly, as it’s going to be quite a lot to handle.
For his part, Cannon is eager to hear the public’s reaction to his series. “I’m interested to see what people think because there are no secrets and nothing to hide,” he concludes.
