Chandler Kinney Talks About Landing the Dream Role of Sabrina Off Campus

Following her collaboration with Antonio Cipriano on Pretty Little Liars, Chandler Kinney is contemplating the possibility of taking on a significant role in his new series, Off Campus.

“I would be absolutely thrilled! Oh, my gosh, are you serious? That would be such a delight,” Kinney, 25, excitedly shared with Us Weekly while promoting her role as hello’s Chief Aura Officer.

Kinney specifically responded to Us‘ inquiry about her potentially portraying Tucker’s (Jalen Thomas Brooks) future love interest, Sabrina, stating, “I know the entire cast has had a blast, and I’ve heard countless stories about the fun they’re having over there. I would love to be a part of that. Let’s manifest it.”

She further remarked: “Let’s get the conversation rolling. Jalen is amazing and so kind. I’ve known him for a long time, and he’s incredibly talented too. People really enjoyed his performance in The Pitt, and now with him in Off Campus, they get to appreciate him even more.”

Prime Video’s Off Campus explores various love stories at Briar U — but which couples actually end up together in the books? Based on the Off Campus book series by Elle Kennedy, the series centers on an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives as they navigate love, heartbreak, and self-discovery […]

The actress expressed her excitement about the chance to appear in Off Campus after viewing a few episodes.

“The only reason I’m a bit slow in catching up on season 1 is that [my Elle costar] Lexi [Minetree] and I are binge-watching it together. We’re in production and have long workdays, making it challenging to find time, but we’ve promised not to watch it without each other, which is why I haven’t devoured the whole season in one go yet. But I’m hooked,” Kinney explained to Us.

Kinney expressed her joy for Cipriano’s success on the show as Logan, stating, “I’ve been a long-time admirer of his. I’m thrilled that the world is finally discovering how wonderful he is. He’s such a bright light, and I’m also good friends with Jalen, who’s terrific on the show. They just returned to Vancouver for their second season, so I think we might have an Elle and Off Campus picnic soon.”

Before participating in Prime Video’s upcoming show Elle, Kinney gained fame as Tabby in the Pretty Little Liars revival and as Willa in Disney’s Zombies series. She will portray Kimberly in the prequel to Legally Blonde, which delves into Elle Woods’ teenage years as a high school student in the 1990s in Seattle.

“This series was crafted with immense love. It also comes from the vision of Reese Witherspoon, [who plays Elle in the original films]. If that’s not a seal of approval, then I don’t know what is,” Kinney told Us. “She is intricately involved in the production of this show, and her presence is felt both in person and from afar. She has been integral to this process from start to finish. She is incredibly protective of the character because the Legally Blonde legacy is timeless.”

Kinney had a front-row experience to Witherspoon’s commitment to the project.

“This franchise is so iconic that she wanted to ensure everything aligns with the original film. It absolutely does visually, and Lexi — who has become one of my closest friends — is the perfect Elle Woods,” she continued. “When you watch the movies, you experience humor, heartfelt moments, and you’ll find all of that and more in the series.”

She added: “Television allows for a deeper exploration of all these characters and the world they inhabit. It’s an incredible opportunity to celebrate the Legally Blonde universe and expand upon it. It’s always enjoyable to delve further into this world.”

Kinney is also busy as hello’s Chief Aura Officer. Her new position enables her to infuse the brand’s positive and playful spirit into their messaging, showcasing how making dental hygiene more personal and expressive can transform daily routines.

“I have always been a big fan of Hello, and I greatly value dental hygiene, so I believe they help add some joy to our daily routines. They make self-care more enjoyable and cheerful,” she stated. “It’s an essential part of our everyday life, and it’s a fantastic way to kick off the day with positive energy.”

Kinney emphasized Hello’s mission, saying, “It gives me the confidence of having my best smile, and I’m really excited to assist people in bringing more aura into their days. We have some really fun social content and behind-the-scenes material coming up together.”

While Kinney admires everything about the brand, her favorite product is the Whipped Mellow Mint Dream toothpaste. “It’s like a celebration in my mouth,” she joked.
