Zach Misleads Kayda About Alannah’s Exit from Love Island USA
Love Island USA‘s Zach Georgiou misled Kayda Bosse regarding the conclusion of his relationship with Alannah Keyser.
In the episode aired on Monday, June 29, Zach attempted to assure Kayda that she was always his first preference. He suggested that his time in Casa Amor did not strengthen his bond with Alannah since he returned alone.
“If I wanted to, I would have brought her back,” he asserted.
However, viewers are aware that Zach was not given the choice to bring Alannah back, as she was removed from the show following backlash over a resurfaced video allegedly showing her using a racial slur.
The video and additional posts did not surface publicly until after Alannah’s participation in the show, thus were unavailable during the vetting process.
“Hi everyone, I’m here to address some circulating rumors. First, I want to discuss the video of me singing along to a Roddy Ricch song that includes a racial slur. I apologize to anyone who has seen that video and found it offensive. That was never my intention,” Alannah stated in a TikTok posted on Saturday, June 27. “The video is from six years ago, and that term is no longer part of my vocabulary.”
She went on to clarify, “I would also like to address the falsified screenshots circulating online. What has been shared does not represent the truth, and it has never been my character to discriminate against anyone based on their skin color. I want to make it clear that I do not endorse racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have.”
Earlier this season, another contestant, Vasana Montgomery, was eliminated from the show after past social media posts surfaced showing her using a slur. Similar issues occurred during season 7 last year, where Yulissa Escobar left shortly after joining, as videos of her using racial slurs on a podcast emerged online.
Cierra Ortega also encountered backlash for using a slur in her own resurfaced social media post. She was removed from the villa and later offered an apology for her previous actions.
