Kylie Kelce Opens Up About Her ESPYs Wardrobe Malfunction
Kylie Kelce is just like Us.
Kelce, 34, shared a humorous wardrobe mishap during the episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast on Thursday, July 23. In her “comment of the week” segment, Kylie called herself out for not removing a tag from her dress while presenting an award at the ESPYs alongside her husband, Jason Kelce.
“Not the dry cleaning tag at the end of the tassel on her dress 😂,” the comment read.
“Um, yes, it was a dry cleaning tag,” Kylie confessed while zooming in on the photo. “Here’s my explanation of the situation,” she continued. “I’ve warned you all that I’m type B. I wore this dress to give a commencement speech at my college three years ago. I recently got it dry cleaned. Had it been dry cleaned since then? I don’t think so.”
Kylie further revealed that there was actually a second dry cleaning tag on her dress that went unnoticed by keen-eyed fans. “To my credit, I got dressed in the backseat of a car,” she said, laughing. “It’s hard to spot that when it’s in your lap.” She humorously remarked about being a relatable queen, stating, “I think it’s their way of saying that I am chaotic or unorganized, and it’s actually a compliment.”
This isn’t Kelce’s first encounter with a wardrobe faux pas. In May, she discussed a minor fashion blunder that occurred during the Webby Awards.
While accepting the award for “Podcast of the Year,” Kelce realized she still had a hair tie on her wrist, which she had intended to remove beforehand.
“Yes, I do have a hair tie on my wrist,” she acknowledged while reviewing her look. “Did I remember to take it off before the red carpet? Absolutely not.”
Kelce also joked about not knowing what she was wearing until the morning of the event.
“Am I wearing open-toed shoes?” she asked, pleading with fans not to “zoom in on the dogs.”
“Yes, I am. Should I have been? No,” she chuckled. “I shouldn’t have been, but those are the shoes I brought, and I didn’t even know what I was wearing when I left the house that morning.”
